  1. then it's installed to /S/L/E run this and make sure it's successful. Look for AppleHDA_ALC292 in the output. sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
  2. Make sure it's install properly and that permission is fix and cache recreated.
  3. Looks like a successful repair. Are you still not getting audio? Make sure you didn't remove or install a modded AppleHDA.kext. If you did, you'll need to restore the vanilla AppleHDA kext.
  4. I have a semi working E7270 with HD 520 here. Still working out the HDMI and audio.
  5. Yeah, I think it's due to El Capitan creating a virtual drive (core storage) for fusion drives.
  6. It should work fine. Here's a working guide and bootpack is in post #2. Make sure to read all the important notes to get a successful build.
  7. no attachment... You could reuse all files from the 10.11.4 backup. Make sure AppleHDA_ALC292 is installed.
  8. Sure if your windows can read HFS formatted drive. You could try MacDrive trial version.
  9. Hmm, interesting. I'm still using the Clover or kext patch for Trim. Had never used the command 'Trimforce enable'.
  10. add NullCPUPowermanagement.kext to clover/kexts/10.10
  11. @Sorcerer, VoodooPS2Controller is not included with Clover and Rehabman's VoodooPS2Controller supports mainly Synaptics Touchpad, not Alps. I have an E6420 running both versions 1.8.8 and 1.8.9 and no issue with KP. If your KP is related to VoodooPS2Controller v1.8.9, then try 1.8.8. It's found in the E6420 bootpack here.
  12. sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
  13. Note: Settings retained even after BIOS update and not need to run again I've updated A07 to A10 but the DVMT retained so I didn't have to redo it. I'll check A11 to see what fixes it included before updating.
  14. You need the new version of AppleHDA_ALC293.kext as noted in the Updates section of the guide.
  15. Just highlight it, right click to copy it and paste it here.
  16. I'm not home right now, but I'm pretty sure my E6420 upgraded without an issue with ComboUpdate. Using MBP8,2 with Clover v3354. Not sure if it's related, but I've seen others have success with switching OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi with OsxAptioFixDrv2-64.efi
  17. Make sure to install the kexts in /Kexts/Other/LE to /Library/Extensions and then run the permission fix and recreate cache. This will add the audio kexts. Make sure you have a successful output when you ran those commands. If it still doesn't work, then display your terminal output here to determine your issue.
  18. Thanks cptscruffy2. I figured it out. I need to enable both Remaps Brightness Keys Remaps Volume Keys Now both Fn+F1, Fn+F2, Fn+F3, F1, F2, and F3 works with volume control Brightness controls with F11 and F12, and F6 dims
  19. see this thread? Seems to be an issue upgrading to 10.11.4 with other updates. Do you have a quad-core CPU?
  20. Get rid of GenericUSBXHCI, not compatible on El Capitan. Try upgrading Clover too.
  21. @rshultz101 Not sure why you can't scroll with 2 fingers, it works OOTB even without Karabiner. I'm only using Karabiner to remap the brightness controls. You can't use unpatched DSDT/SSDT from A10 as there's no benefits than not using any DSDT/SSDT at all. You need them patched to make any significant performance to your system. Ethernet issue, try AppleIntelE1000 instead if IntelMausiEthernet is not working well for you. @cptscruffy2 So are you saying that F1, F2, and F3 works for your volume control and not Fn+F1..etc. etc.
  22. Awesome, it's Lenovo compatible passing the whitelist.
  23. F1, F2, and F3 for volume control does not work, still have to use Fn+F1, Fn+F2, and Fn+F3 which are working without the Remapping. I had already experimented with F11 and F12 for brightness but I lose the F11 for toggling windows, so I decide to just use F6 and Fn+F6 for brightness.
  24. You probably didn't use it correctly or edited the plist incorrectly with MacKextlight.
