  1. Linked file is not good, but I found one elsewhere. See if this one works or you could compress yours and attached it here. dsdt.aml.zip
  2. Clone it and install on top. I have Mavericks on top of ML, all data intact and apps. Only some apps are not working, upgrading to newer version of the app fixed it though.
  3. Use Chameleon Wizard to generate a different smbios for your system.
  4. You'll probably need a patch DSDT to fix that. Download Chameleon Wizard or MacIASL to export a raw DSDT. Zip it and attach it here.
  5. When upgrading any OSX, files gets updated or replaced. Delete AppleIntelHDGraphics* from S/L/E should fix it. Of course you know you won't have full graphics acceleration for this model right?
  6. Those would be good choices but if the system comes with an Intel wireless, a mod bios is require to bypass whitelisting. There's always a risk of bricking your system if it's not done right. But I guess you could always use an external USB wireless.
  7. Go with an E6420 if you could. If you want a lighter, go with an E6220. Both are sandy-bridge systems. Full graphics acceleration, most things working with DSDT, and some kexts. My personal choice of course.
  8. You need to disable dualLink on that dsdt. You have a lower resolution than his system more likely. Use an app call Maciasl or link to his file and I'll take a look.
  9. Do you know if you have LVDS or eDP? You need to figure out what resolution is your display. Did you follow the link i suggested above and install the FB for your OS X? For restart issue, you could try re-running my hack/myfix (quick) to repair permission and rebuild cache. If that doesn't work, you'll need a patched DSDT.
  10. LOL. Defnitely lighter to carry around.
  11. Do you have windows on MBR format? If so, look for an MBR patch.
  12. This is what I use but others could work too.
  13. Don't use MBR patch unless you already have Xcode installed where you run myHack from. Set your BIOS to the default, apply, and then only change SATA operations to AHCI.
  14. hoel confirmed that it worked for him. Well, if you have patched FB from 10.9.4 and it worked then, you could stick with that too.
  15. Hmm, can't say I have tried connecting to a dock. Good to know that it works, but you can't carry a dock everywhere you go, so an USB adapter is still a good way to go. Does the DVI video work through the dock for you?
  16. The E7x40 models don't have usb2 ports, genericUSBXHCI will allow to boot off of usb 3.0 ports, no issue there. @Marine1342, you can bypass EBIOS error by booting with flag -v. Your main issue is your graphics is not loading. I think you are installing 10.9.5, not 10.9.6. Which bootpack are you using? If you're using from my guide E7240/E7440, you'll need to replace the kernel for 10.9.5. You can get that here. Replace it in /Extra in your installer. Post your result.
  17. HDMI audio so far is not supported on the HD 4400, only HD 4600 has been confirmed to work. Headphone issue has been known for this model and no fix thus far both with patched AppleHDA and voodooHDA. Pokenguyen don't own this model, but I can confirm what works is to use an USB headphone adapter.
  18. Please specify system specs...cpu, display make/model, resolution.... Have you try the generic boot pack? See this.
  19. Sorry, updated the wrong guide, so I followed and upgraded 6430u as you did and received same error as yours. Guide is now updated with a fix. See here.
  20. What's your display resolution? sounds like a graphics issue 1366x768 or 1600x900? For BIOS, just set to the default, apply it, then change SATA Operation to AHCI, you can tweak it once it get OSX installed. Try booting with flag -v -f and post error where it stop.
  21. I have Qe/CI on all version of Mavericks 10.9.0 -> 10.9.5. Problem is since 10.9.2, system freezes when HDMI cable is plugged in. From 10.9.3 onward, you'll get a bit of artifacts on the menu bar, but can easily be fixed by going to color settings in preference. For 10.9.3 and below, you can revert FB with 10.9.1 to fix the HDMI freeze issue. With 10.9.4 and 10.9.5, restoring with 10.9.1 will lose QE/CI. So if you're going to use the latest Mavericks, you'll still have QE/CI, just can't have external monitor install.
  22. Updates Mavericks Update 10.9.5 STATUS: GOOD UPDATE METHOD: APP STORE/SYSTEM UPDATE MODIFICATIONS NEEDED: None
  23. Do you have the same specs as hoel? Using platform-id 03? or something else?
  24. Try booting with -F (ignores the o.c.b.p) and add other flags you see fit
  25. Updates NOTE: See guide here to enable Optimus and gain sleep capability Mavericks Update 10.9.5 STATUS: GOOD UPDATE METHOD: APP STORE/SYSTEM UPDATE MODIFICATIONS NEEDED: Get new boot pack here add to org.chameleon.boot.plist DSDT /Extra/DSDT.aml HDAEnabler Yes
