You can bake and revive that faulty board in the oven if you know what you're doing.

go to preferences/network. Select the + at the bottom left, interface name, select Wi-Fi from the drop down, then click create.

Download lspci byEvOSX86 and install it. Some system only works on MBR like some lenovo. Create installer with myHack and google for an MBR patch, that should get you going.

Not loading for me - E6420. Using Chameleon v2380.

See this. Most guides are for Desktop HD 4600 not laptop HD4600. Not sure if it'll work on a Dell as I have not tested it.
-
So the SSDT got all your USB ports working now? For port replicator to work, you might need your DSDT patched. I'm no expert when it comes to patching DSDT. There might be some issue with HDMI and HDMI audio for HD 4600 mobile on 10.9.4 and no solution as far as I know for now.
-
See this thread. #51 and #52. Seems his E6320 webcam is not working either.

Here you go. i7-4610M SSDT ssdt_i7-4610M.zip

Realz, Clover automatically patch the kernel. With Chameleon, you'll need to manually patch and add it. My boot pack has patched kernel for 10.9.0. Make sure you replaced it as ktbos did a few posts back for 10.9.4

Those must be USB 3.0 ports. GenericUSBXHCI.kext should work. Check kextstat to see if it's loaded. It might require a patched DSDT to work. Looks like i7-4610M is not in the script. I'll try to generate one for you

try booting with IntelAzulFB=10 -v if still failed to load graphics, you'll have to try all value from 0 - 15 until you get one that loads perfectly

see guide and boot pack here

Make sure you set the BIOS to the default first, apply and then set SATA Operations to AHCI. Also try adding USBBusFix=Yes during boot.

I believe that boot pack is for 10.9.2, so the patched kernel won't work for 10.9.4. Get it here on the bottom of the guide. Also you can't use the SSDT for your CPU. After building your system, use HVT to generate the SSDT for you CPU, under tools->SSDT Generator. The gpu for your unit is HD4600 not HD4400, so if you don't get graphics right, use Chameleon Wizard, change the FB value to 10 instead of 12. Also you can add dart=0 to the boot.plist.
-
You have to take into account what version of Mavericks you're installing as the patched kernel is different and what version the boot pack has.Your attachment didn't get added, please link to it if you download it from there.
-
You could use HVT, under tools, select SSDT Generator. It uses PikerAlpha's script to automatically generate one for you and place in /Extra
-
That could be due to your display resolution. What's your screen max resolution?

Yes, Lenovo systems requires Memory Protection turned on.

Recently got a hold of an Optiplex 990. Saw a few threads here regarding this model but no guide or bootpack in any of them, so I decided to write one up. An easy build as mentioned by Dan Marshall, runs really smooth. It comes with an AMD HD5450, didn't try the built-in Intel HD2000. Credits: Conti - for myHack Slice - latest VoodooHDA 2.8.6 Dr. Hurt from Insanelymac - patch DSDT for HD5450M Specs: i5 - 2400 3.1GHz | 8GB ram | HD2000/AMD HD 5450M | 128GB SSD | Mountion Lion 10.8.5 | Mavericks 10.9.4 | BIOS A18 Build USB Installer with myHack Download and Extract bootpackExtra.zip Relaunch myHack, select Install Extra, select USB Installer as target drive. Select "Use my Own" and browse to Extra above Boot with USB Installer ( Make sure to plug monitor to DVI, vga is not supported) Format disk to GUID and Extended Journal and start the build When prompt, select "Use My Own" and point to Extra on USB Installer When prompt to remove problematic kexts, select Yes, Yes, No Wait a few minutes, system will automatically reboot, remove the USB Installer Complete the installation Done. Working: AMD HD 5450 Full QE/CI Dual Display Sleep/Shutdown/Restart LAN Audio using VoodooHDA 2.8.6 Note: Make sure to set SATA Operation to AHCI. For best result, set it to the Default, apply and then set SATA Operation to AHCI. /!\ For Mountain Lion install, remove AppleKextExcludeList.kext from bootpack /!\ For Yosemite Install, see guide here and boot pack posted here
