that is said to be used with Pandora build only. Use this one instead.

There's issue with myHack's MBR patch is you don't have Xcode installed on the system you're creating the USB Installer. Do a search for MBR patch in google instead.
-
phohenbe, are you sure you follow exactly steps as the guide? Clover should have automatically patch your kernel so you won't have this reboot issue. Also for anyone who's installing Mavericks 10.9.4, you should skip step 14, - Kexts > Graphics > HD4400/4600 DP/HDMI Freeze You'll lose QE/CI if you do. The above fix only works for 10.9.2 and 10.9.3.

E6410 with nVidia NVS 3100M graphics - Mountain Lion Guide
Jake Lo replied to v3ct0r's topic in The Archive
@BrainbrakerARG, sorry to have to break this to you, but you won't be able to get full graphics acceleration on this system with only HD graphics. You'll get partial CI, but not QE. Following patel4prez advice above should resolve your drive issue. If not, then try setting your bios to the default, apply and then set SATA Operations to AHCI. -
Make sure sata is set to AHCI and if that still doesn't work, add boot flag USBBusFix=Yes during boot.

Dell Latitude e6500: OSX installer doesn't see internal HDD
Jake Lo replied to tomlang's topic in The Archive
Did you set your BIOS for SATA Operations to AHCI? Best if you just set the bios to default, apply and then change sata to AHCI. -
Click on my signature file below with links to bluetooth and sd card fixes or just use our forum search.
-
You need to set your BIOS for Sata Operations to AHCI to fix the error " still waiting..." Most HP system has local apic KP, with cpus=1 flag, it'll get you pass it. KernelPatcher.dylib should fix that issue. DualLink is needed if you have display resolution higher than 1366x768.

Sure, this is patched for my Dell E6430 with HD 4000, but should also work if you're using layout ID 3

You need to patch capriFB and DSDT. See guide here.

Let's start by using my boot pack for E7440 on my signature below. Replace the mach_kernel with 10.9.4 on the updates below the guide, place it in /Extra Also remove DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml. Boot with flags -v -f IntelAzulFB=12 SkipNvidiaGfx=Yes
-
L440 should be able to install Mavericks. You'll need a patched kernel for the Haswell processor though.

Realtek ALC888 - Simply Getting Audio To Work
Jake Lo replied to LightWarrior's topic in The Archive
Have you try one from here? -
Try booting with cpus=1 if you get the lapic error during installation as do most HP system. Might not need MBR patch.
-
You probably only have USB 3.0 ports. Try GenericUSBXHCI

Try patched AppleHDA 10.9.4 here, might need to have HDAEnabler in boot.plist.
-
what version of mavericks are you installing? Try the latest graphics files from here. You could only get CI, so download the CI version, not QE/CI. Replaced them in my boot pack, run myHack/Install Extra and point to it. This should also fix the cache mode issue too. MyHack rebuilds the cache and permission at the end of the install.
-
Yosemite DP4 using Chameleon svn-r2391 with kext-dev-mode=1. Audio ID set to12, AppleHDA is not loading.
-
Try rebuilding your cache. Did you have GenericUSBXHCI installed?
-
Did you use the FB patch from previous post or patched your own? You can't use older patch on 10.9.4 as you'll loose QE/CI. I have similar issue on the Dell E6430 after upgrading to 10.9.4 Try the patch 10.9.4 from here.
-
Patched_10.7_AppleRTC.kext should be in Extra/Extension if you're using the myHack method with the generic boot pack. It's pre patched so no need to run the perl script.
-
From my experience with upgrading display on a Dell E6420/E6520, you need to replace the ribbon as well. The ribbon need to support dual link display. If you had done that, then you probably just need to patch your DSDT, if you have one currently working with dualLink.
-
You should check out some of or all our articles which include how to remap keyboard keys. Brightness control might require DSDT patching. Try ScrollLock (Fn+F3) and Pause (Fn+Insert), might be different on different makes and models.
-
Go to the Release folder, copy ACPIBatteryManager.kext to /Extra/Extension and run myfix. If this also doesn't work, look for AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext v1.32. You'll also need a patched version of AppleACPIPlatform.kext

I created a guide for this model here with Mavericks 10.9.4. Sleep, multi-touch are working.
