  1. /Extra/ssdt.aml is located on the root of your Installed OSX when you ran step 11 to generate SSDT using HVT. Reboot with your USB from step 4, and continue from step 14

  5. Do you have a patched mach_kernel for 10.9.4? If not grab it from my previous link above. Replace the one on your root. You might have to unhide it first.
  6. You probably running Mavericks 10.9.4 with resolution 1920x1080. Same thing for my E7440 with HD4400. See here. Fix: Go to display profile and change it to sRGB.

  8. No I haven't. Haven't touched the 9020 for awhile now. I'll try it next week and let you know what I come up with.

  10. Yes, the trackstick works. Install voodoops2Controller.kext for synaptics.
  11. assuming your USB is named "myHack installer 10.9.4" and your HDD is named "Mavericks" cp "/Volumes/myHack installer 10.9.4/mach_kernel" "/Volumes/Mavericks"
  12. It should be in the root. You could try booting up with the installer, from terminal copy the kernel over to the hard disk.
  13. Yup still around. In order for enable HDMI Audio, you'll need to patch FB, DSDT and AppleHDA. You can read more about it here to patch FB and DSDT, but you could download the patched AppleHDA here.

  15. ktbos, Since you just download Mavericks Thursday, it must be 10.9.4. You'll need to change the modded mach_kernel. Get it here and place in Extra of your USB Installer.
  16. Please list your system specs so we could help proceed. CPU? HD 3000 or nvs4200m? Resolution?
  17. What's your system spec? Do you have Optimus Nvidia Nvs4200m? see this. Or only HD 3000? See this.

  19. Try resetting your BIOS to the Default, apply, then go back and set SATA Operations to AHCI.

  22. run Terminal command lspci -nn to display the vendor/device ID of your wifi card. Not all Broadcom cards are supported. Click on Wireless Card in my signature to find a list of supported/unsupported cards.
  23. Thank you for the guide. I don't use the nvidia card anymore. Was able to disable it with DSDT and use HD 3000 graphics instead. This allows sleep and power management. If you want to try, click on E6520 on my signature below. No issue upgrading to 10.9.4 Advantage: Sleep and battery last a bit longer and not heat up Disadvantage: No HDMI video/Audio
