  1. Hey, Actually, your tempretures have not changed - except now your machine measure temps. correctly. The problem that have been happening for the last year or so, is that fakesmc.kext and IntelCPUMonitor.kext did not report the temp. correctly to system because tjmax needed to be ajusted manually - and many dident do that. With the latest fakesmc, tjmax can be detected automaticly You can verify the result with coolbook (unregistered) - coolbook uses its own sensor driver and hence the results is measured by two diffrent systems., Try and put a hand on your machine, and you will notice that its actually not warmer - also - a 25-35c operating heat for a machine like yours is virtually imposibel We have know about the issue for some time, but have been unable to find a good solution except going back to a old version of fakesmc - however latest version works like a charm.

  6. boot with: -x -v -f -s It will drop you in single user mode console... from there.. do: /sbin/mount -uw / cd /Extra ./edptool.command

    Hello

look up in the menu mate
  9. Since EDP was moved to SVN we have started to use revision numbers instead of versions. We will continue to update this thread with "big" numbers and changes. Here we go... 340: Integrated new AudioDB system with 5 different audio solutions, big thanx to Mario and John 333: Did model separation of of D830-Nvidia and M4300 to resolve issues with D830-nvidia 330: Added myHack fix - This fix will copy myfix and myHack.kext to the target if its not found on the disk
  10. Or simply try using EDP 3.x While the D430 runs SL quite good if a standard EDP setup it used, then its also important to understand that our team have not done testing with SL since Lion came out. .. that said.. i would still try EDP 3.x.
  11. open console and type: sudo su rm -Rf /System/Library/Extensions/0EDP.kext my -q -t / .. and reboot
  12. You need the high resolution DSDT for your model.. there should be one on the forum somewhere...
  13. Bug found, bug fixed. Download a new bootpack and try again
  14. did you use a bootpack from the sites ? http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/bootpack/
  15. Hi, EDP is for your harddisk.. not for your usb pen.. use a bootpack for your USB pen
  16. Hey, I have seen the same issue that OSX and linux have been able to detect battery issues before bios did it.. i re-tested the battery in windows with a tool i found on download.com - and was able to confirm that the battery infact had issues.. also seen the issue with brand new aftermarked batterys.
  17. Hi, Yes, EDP3 does not use 0edp.kext.. that is version 2.x that uses that - version 3.x uses myhack.kext .. so make sure that you are using the right one.
  18. Hi, I recently upgraded my Dell D430 to run OSX Lion - and with that i noticed that coolbook no longer is working. The problem lies within AppleACPIPlatform.kext in Lion and the solution is to replace it with the one from Snow Leopard 10.6.7 Howto fix it: 1. Download kexthelper 2. Download AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.6.7 3. Extract both to desktop 4. Use kexthelper to install AppleACPIPlatform.kext 5. Reboot 6. Reinstall coolbook Enjoy! Ps. This fix is also a permanent part of EDP because it also fixes alot of other issues
  19. You just had a voodooHDA crash.. happends more and more.. piece of *beep*
