  4. Indeed it is, i was just giving you a friendly advice, since i noticed that not no one had answered What you can do is: * Try and locate the kext(s) that worked with it before and use them again, sometimes 10.5 kexts works fine under 10.6 * Replace the cam with one that is known to work * Check any of the wind forums, see if anyone else have an solution... Personally. .i would go with no. 1 or 2 first

One of the new things is that we are including a new feature called "Best Build Model Schematic (BBMS)", wich is a set of pre-defined options for the specific model .eg, does this model use nullcpu, sleepenabler and what PS2 kext is pack best to use. We need your help map the different models we support. This should only take a few mins of your time - and in return, the next EDP will be so much better Please copy/paste the questions below and past your response: a. Model (eg. D630-nvidia) : b. Do you use nullcpu (yes/no) ? : c. Do you use sleepenabler (yes/no) ? : d. What of the 4 provided PS2 packs do you use (1,2,3,4 or other) ?: e. Do you use emulated speedstep ? (yes/no): f. Do you use voodooTSC to sync your cores ? (yes/no) : g. Do you use AppleHDADisabler ? : h. Are you stuck/forced to use a specific version of chameleon ? : i. Do you use a custom kernel ? NOTES: 1. Do _NOT_ create a new topic, just reply to this one 2. This is NOT a support thread - dont ask for help here 3. This is NOT a discussion thread, we got plenty of forums and topics for that : Thanx for helping out
  7. Hey Andy, Not sure its the right place to ask.. have you checked some of the forums that focus on the wind ?
  8. Hi, Two things to look our for. Please boot a Linux live CD to check if your LAN is actually working correctly - overheating can in some cases cause the LAN port to render dead or unstable. Secondly, make sure that you are running the latest bios update from dell or us. Please report back
  9. Hey mate, I'v had similar problems and after trying all solutions we have.. i decided just to replace the damn thing...got 3 from ebay at 10$ each

  12. - is it possible to install a UMTS card with that units only with "installing" the right PCIe card or do they need any additionally work (antenna, SIM card slot)? Yes, just go with the card recommend on the Wiki, those are certified to work with OSX on D models atleast (i havent tested on any of the models you are look at) - does anyone tried or can be helpful with an 8GByte RAM upgrade (any kind of experience with this)? More memory is allways good - what exactly does the BIOS mod work for: It adds modifications to your bios needed to run OSX, while its not required because those can be applied using dsdt.aml in /Extra :- is it "only" for a hassle free kind of installation? Yes :- is it working transparent (like EFI-X) or does it need any kind of boot procedure? Dont know, havent tested EFI-X :- is it covering any kind of OS upgrade problems? No - is the BIOS mod working for the M6300 too? No - could not find any information about the M4400, does there exist any user with experience on it? that model is not covered by us .. yet.. - I like the heavy and alu design of the M6300 and would like to get known, if it will be the same with the M4300? No idea mate - any experience about battery usage under MacOS X Lion are welcome Dont know what to say here.. seems the same as under SL.. depends offcourse how you use the machine.. but thats common for any OS
  13. Hey, I just tested on a D430 and it dident work (my best guess is that D630 and D830 have a newer version) - the D430 (and most other D series) have: 8086:27d8 - 82801G (ICH7) Audio Do you know if this one could be modified to support that ?
  14. if you are up for it.. i would love to see a color version.. that eg. starts with green bars and end in red ?
  15. !!! NEAT !!! Mind if we include it in EDP ?
  16. could be a region issue.. however, that shouldent stop you from rebranding anyway.. i'v done it with plenty..

  18. ya.. they dont come cheap, but one thing is sure.. i 1000 times rather have the e6220 and the macbook air.. the MBA is limited in terms of what you can do with it.. (replace memory, cpu, wwan, replace the SSD).. the e6620 is extremely sexy and the keyboard is properly one of the best that i have tried...
  19. Batter...4-6 hours.. depending on how i use it... USB sound card.. i dont think its needed.. fixing the sound on the e6220 is just a matter of time before i have that one fixed also. Do you have a e6220 now ? (i might have asked this before)
