ok.. do this... 1. Boot with -x -v -s -f 2. Mount your disk with: /sbin/mount -uw / 3. type: rm -Rf /Extra 4. Use your install boot pen, boot from that and choose to boot on your harddisk. that should bring you into OSX, once you are in download this package: Link: http://cl.ly/2F0X0L033D271S0t3A3W Its an experimental EDP 2.2 that should resolve your problem... Good luck!

Leon replied to bjornw's topic in The Archive
Hi, Yep, we found the bug also a few days after release.. a bug created when we re-added a bin-hexed version that dosent create KP with Lion. The bug is offcourse fixed in 2.2 -
Yep.. sound works.. and no. .you can no downgrade... Also, use EDP 1.9.1 - but use your own dsdt if its better The way i usally do testing, is that i have like 2-3 partitions, then using superduper i can clone back and forth...

Hi mate, We had similar results when we were testing with the XPS m1330, our "bugs" where: * Not stable with 10.6.8 - would run fine with 10.6.7 * No Lan * Mobile broadband did NOT work * Wifi had to be replace * Can reboot most of the times * Unable to shut down correct The project was paused because i did not have the time to continue with it - and now i dont have one to test on :-/

Hey Mate, EDP 1.9.1 is for SL, 2.1 is for Lion my advice, install 1.9.1, test it out.. if it works great, do a clone via superduper to a backup disk and then upgrade to 10.6.8 .. if that still works as it should, you can start to experiment with Lion
-
I think Mario (bronxteck) is using Lion as hes primary.. so ya.. it should be pretty safe

Hi Everyone, After long time of testing and developing we now have EDP 1.9.1 and EDP 2.1 for you. EDP 1.9.1 is for Snow Leopard only, and supports more models, while EDP 2.1 is for Lion 10.7.1. The new release schedule for Lion will be with each update, meaning 2.1 is for 10.7.1 and 2.2 is for 10.7.2 etc. Downloads: http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/ NOTE: DO NOT ASK FOR SUPPORT HERE, GOTO THE CORRECT SUPPORT THREADS Now for the fun part, changelogs: Changelog for 2.1 -------------------- 17-08-2011 Leon Updated dsdt for D530 with a new patched version that works for Lion and 10.6.8 26-08-2011 Leon Integrated GMA950 brightness into EDP, can be installed via the "fixes" menu 26-08-2011 Leon Updated AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext from Simon, supports both x86 and x64 26-08-2011 Leon Replaced voodoopstate.kext, tested to work with Lion 26-08-2011 Leon Replaced VoodooTSCSync.kext, tested to work with Lion 26-08-2011 Leon Upgraded to FakeSMC 3.1 and IntelCPUMonitor.kext, specific models may contain optimized IntelCPUMonitor.kext in their model folder 26-08-2011 Leon Added new "Lion optimized" build method to rebuild.sh In the 1.x versions of Lion we would just generate an Extentions.mkext in /Extra, now we are creating on for /s/l/e instead, but before doing so, we are doing a touch of /s/l/e and repairing permissions of the entire / file system The idea behind doing this is to minimize the risk of any errors etc. happening and limiting the risk of a KP during boot. 26-08-2011 bronxteck Updated d830-nvidia smbios to MacBookPro3,1 31-08-2011 bronxteck updated chameleon to svn2.1 rev1489 and modules folder 03-09-2011 Leon Updated sleepenabler.kext to version that supports up to 10.7.2 03-09-2011 Leon Replaced the use of wget in installer.sh with curl (native) and removed wget from bin folder 04-09-2011 Leon Replaced Lizard app with "Chameleon Wizard" Application 04-09-2011 Leon Added: Coolbook, Hardware Info, MacCPUID and Turnceipt to /E/storage/Apps 14-09-2011 Leon Removed the Roxy GMA950 drivers because Lion don't want to load them 14-09-2011 Leon Removed "touch /s/l/e" during new build to speed up build-process 18-09-2011 Leon Added new package for D830-intel, The package have been fully tested to work on 10.7.0-10.7.2 on the 1920x1200 resolution model 18-09-2011 Leon Added "rebuild cache" after applying the brightness fix for GMA950 28-09-2011 Leon Added FakeSMC.kext 2.x for D820 models to get correct readings 01-10-2011 Leon Added new voodooHDA.kext provided by Mario, fixes kp and cracking sounds Changelog for 1.9.1 ----------------------------- 17-08-2011 Leon Updated dsdt for D530 with a new patched version that works for Lion and 10.6.8 17-08-2011 Leon Removed all voodoohda.kext's from D models, and replaced it with one standard VoodooHDA 2.7.3 in works for all D models 26-08-2011 Leon Upgraded to FakeSMC 3.1 and IntelCPUMonitor.kext, specific models may contain optimized IntelCPUMonitor.kext in their model folder 26-08-2011 bronxteck Updated d830-nvidia smbios to MacBookPro3,1 31-08-2011 bronxteck updated chameleon to svn2.1 rev1489 and modules folder 03-09-2011 Leon Replaced the use of wget in installer.sh with curl (native) and removed wget from bin folder 04-09-2011 Leon Replaced Lizard app with "Chameleon Wizard" Application 04-09-2011 Leon Added: Coolbook, Hardware Info, MacCPUID and Turnceipt to /E/storage/Apps 18-09-2011 Leon Added new package for D830-intel, The package have been fully tested to work on 10.6.0-7 on the 1920x1200 resolution model 28-09-2011 Leon Added FakeSMC.kext 2.x for D820 models to get correct readings 01-10-2011 Leon Added new voodooHDA.kext provided by Mario, fixes kp and cracking sounds Enjoy!
