Tested, does not work on mine.. i can init the card, but not format it, and even if i format it on another machine i still can't mount it.. does it work on both your D420 and D430 ?

have you tested if it works in eg. Windows or Linux ?

Hey, One major problem on most iDell's is the ability to watch fullscreen HD youtube clips - while some would think its because of the shitty GMA950 graphics card, its actually because Adobe flash suck I urge you grap Minitube from the appstore or here: http://flavio.tordini.org/minitube - it uses quicktime instead, with runs locally and MUCH better.. Give it a try!

install coolbook controller from www.coolbook.se so you can see the actual speed

the D520 and D530 is 100% alike on the outside, except the D530 in some models can do 1440x1024 in resolution, where as the D520 only does 1024x768 if i recall correct

the problem with the kext is, that its from 1.4 .. your welcome to see if you can find a newer version.. i sadly dont have a D520 to test on anymore... even better advice, replace it with a D530

Hi, Sorry to tell you, but lan will never work correctly on D520.. the kext is flawed and no better version exists. Sorry.. for some reason the D520 dont use the same lan chip as the other models.

Hi, Lets do a test. 1. Disable coolbook 2. Download the attached zip 3. Put the kext in /e/e 4. Put the app on the desktop 5. Run edptool, select option 1 and then option a 6. Reboot 7. Run the app Can you see it going up/down as you are using your computer ? pstate.zip (What you are testing here, is default in 1.9)

are you using coolbook controller ?

Do a new build via edptool, reboot and create a new network location.. i had the say issue in D430 yesterday

Do this.. 1 . Boot in to single mode and safe mode (so you get a console) (boot with -x -f -v -s pmVersion=0) 2. When in console, mount your HD 3. type: cd /Extra ./edptool.command 4. Choose to do a new build, but dont choose powerpack this time...

After you are back in, do a new build..
