Hi,
Did you get your machine up and running ?
If not, then the best option is to have a specialized dsdt made for it - we have contact with a team that can make one for you - there is a small cost involved for their work.
Feel free to contact me on lsb @ osxlatitude .com

1. Make sure that you are using the latest Bios update from Dell.com or even better the patched bios from www.osxlatitude.com
2. In Chameleon, type :
-v .. and press enter.. this will enable you to see why you are getting the KP
.. post a screenshot here...
I would suggest a D830 .. its alot like the D630.. just better...
I got one for sale.. contact me on lsb @ osxlatitude . com if you want a good offer.

1. Boot with -x -v -s -f
2. Mount your disk with:
/sbin/mount -uw /
3. type:

4. Use your install boot pen, boot from that and choose to boot on your harddisk.

Its an experimental EDP 2.2 that should resolve your problem...
Good luck!
Hi,
Yep, we found the bug also a few days after release.. a bug created when we re-added a bin-hexed version that dosent create KP with Lion.
The bug is offcourse fixed in 2.2
Yep.. sound works.. and no. .you can no downgrade...
Also, use EDP 1.9.1 - but use your own dsdt if its better
The way i usally do testing, is that i have like 2-3 partitions, then using superduper i can clone back and forth...
Hi mate,
We had similar results when we were testing with the XPS m1330, our "bugs" where:
* Not stable with 10.6.8 - would run fine with 10.6.7
* No Lan
* Mobile broadband did NOT work
* Wifi had to be replace
* Can reboot most of the times
* Unable to shut down correct
The project was paused because i did not have the time to continue with it - and now i dont have one to test on :-/
