    64-bit.

booting x64 only means that the kernel will run in x64 mode, keep booting in 32bit mode, you will still have 64bit suuport.. osx is not like windows, check your activity monitor and notice alot is running 64bit even tho you booted via 32bit again, osx is very diffrent from windows
  2. Hey, Are you up for helping testing a bit on testing with the com.chameleon.boot.plist ? Try and use the 2.2 plist - but add: Kernel Flags busratio=21 cpus=2 arch=i386 .. boot and see if its still slow... ?
  3. More details needed.. What machine do you have and what OS are you running ?
  4. I can a compare between the two plists and remove all duplets 1.9 DSDT /Extra/dsdt.aml DropSSDT Yes Kernel Flags busratio=21 cpus=2 arch=i386 pmVersion=21 2.x GenerateCStates Yes GeneratePStates Yes Kernel Flags PciRoot 1 UHCIreset Yes USBBusFix Yes UseKernelCache Yes So the question is what can impact performance like that...
  5. Cool, can you attach the your dsdt here please ?
  6. Hey mate, Its the first report that i have seen on that.. so for now you are a bit on your own... could you try and dig a bit deeper ?
  7. Hey mate, Did some testing but ended up with the same findings as you.. guess we will just have to wait
  8. For now.. no.. we are working on 2.2 wich will solve the issue,..
  9. Hi, Try when you have installed 10.6.8 to replace the IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.6.7 in /System/Library/Extentions You can download it from here: http://team.osxlatitude.com/kexts/10.6.7/IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip And you use kexthelper to install it: http://team.osxlatitude.com/tools/Kext-Helper-b7.zip
  10. What chipset does your wifi card have ? (should be broadcom 43xx) ..
  11. Hi, Lets look at one thing at a time.. lets start with your wireless. Please try this solution: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=200 And let me know if it works so we can add it to EDP.
  12. Hey mate, Airport Can you test this solution and get back to me if it works or not ? http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=200 Sleep I think the dsdt for your model needs some more work, we have only had very few users with that model, so your options is: * Edit your DSDT and adapt it (might be hard if you have no experience) - but google is your friend * Sponsor patching of your DSDT (EDP is made from donations that have enabled us to pay outside devleopers to spend time on fixing the dsdts, in return for helping we have been able to put the DSDT.aml files to EDP)
  13. Yes.. for now.. but we are getting closer. In our lab we are doing some wild experiments with D430 and Lion (since i personally have one) - and with the latest fix to bring coolbook to Lion we really took one big leap ahead
  14. Dude... over 2000 other people have installed OSX on their laptop.. try reading the guide on the wiki before posting
  15. Mine was expensive as hell .. but it was a present from my wife.. so hey.. who am i to complain
  16. This is with a 1 year old Runcore zif pata
  17. Its just a suggestion - and its your choice - we use the donations used to get work done on EDP that can dont have the skills or time to do ourself.. On another note.. test if lidsleep.kext works for ya.. i tested on a D530 without much luck
  18. I also did a bit of research on this one, seems we need of the dsdt genius to patch it up. If you wish to sponsor that dev. (usually like 20$) (OSXL dont have their own DSDT people, we rent services from another team by either sponsoring ourself or by user donations)
  19. Hey, Can you do a Xbench test and post your results here please ?

    Dell Latitude E5500

Hi, Pretty much as Paranoid and Bronxteck said: 1. The tests we have done with the mid. E series was stopped because of no accelerated graphics 2. The D series is extremely cheap and is very mainstream, meaning alot of people have it and its cheap, hence alot of people can test for it The good news is that the latest E series with i5+ seems to work great and we have started to work on those
  21. Hi, Run edptool.command, select 1 and then a for rebuilding from present kexts. .. reboot.. if it works, please send me your IDs
  22. Currently, no .. i personally have little or none DSDT skills.. on top of that, i dont have one of your models to test with :-/ Have you googled around ?
  23. Just goto the wiki.. its all there For the D430 i would recommend Snow Leopard.. it works really great on it.
