Greetings.. HP 8470P i5 3360 CPU Radeon HD 7650M GPU I've managed to get almost everything running well with the exception of WIFI. Purchased a Broadcom 43224 card, as I've used this with another 8470P w/iNtel GPU.. however it's not working in this system. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks. Thanks Bronx, I'll try some different boot flags, and hopefully get this card to sing.

Thanks Bronx, I was missing the nvidiafixup.kext however now, although it does boot with nvda_drv=1, the resulting artifacts make it unusable. Card seems to be recognized correctly, but black squares are created on the display when a folder is moved or opened. Would an EDID injection be appropriate at this point? If so, is there a guide handy? Appreciate your help.

Thanks Bronx.. In the original post.. Quadro 1000m is my graphics card. There are some users that claim Sierra works with this card and H. Sierra does not. Thanks again.

Greetings...Acquired an HP Z1 (Xeon E3-1245/Quadro 1000m) and have installed Sierra 10.12.6 via Clover method. Presently I’m only able to boot to a display w/ nv_disable=1, and have installed the Nvidia web driver. I’ve tried a number of Clover parameters including “inject Nvidia” and “nvda_drv=1, both instances rendering a black screen. . I’ve tried a few different Smbios profiles but am afraid I’m shooting in the dark. Is EDID input required for this GPU, as I have heard that some users have gotten it to work with Sierra. Thanks.

I have re-generated ssdt, no noticeable improvement, wondering if there's a conflictive patched .aml file in my EFI. Thanks. debug_E6440.zip

Greetings.. loving the performance on my E6440, however the (almost) constant fan noise is irritating.. have other users experienced the same issue? Thanks.
-
Jake, sorry I've been out of the loop.. please find debug attached. Fan noise is still an issue, frequent and high speed. Can anything be done about that? Thank you very much! ssprod-E6440.zip

Thanks Leon, still a great site with A+ support!

Done, thank you Jake. debug_6987.zip

Thank you, Herve. I'm clear on the clover/High Sierra then. Thanks to you and your work on the 6440 BootPack, I'm up and running with High Sierra 10.13.2. Many thanks also to Jake Lo for instructing me on the necessary kexts I required to get my 1520 wifi card recognized on this machine. One thing I'd like to address, if possible, is limiting the frequency that the fan turns on/off. I'd be happy to post my EFI+Kexts if that's cool. Once again, thank you very much.

Thank you Jake, will try! I have a 1520 wifi card, I see on the site's article that this is supported. Will this work on my machine, and if so, do I require a specific patch via Clover or kext? Much appreciated.

(Solved) Greetings.. Attempting to do a 10.13.2 installation on my newly acquired E6440 (BiosA14- i5 4310-HD4600 1366x768). Herve's guide successfully ran Sierra, but will the Enoch Bootloader work with High Sierra? Is there a similar "E" series guide that I can follow for H.Sierra? Thanks very much!

Greetings.. Have any users tried the FX3800 with Sierra? Really trying to get this card to stick. thanks again!
-
Greetings.. Recently acquired an HPZ400 Workstation (1xXeonW3550) w/ an Nvidia Quadro FX3800GPU. Installation was successful however with "inject Nvidia", my profiler lists the card correctly, but I'm clearly not getting acceleration or proper functionality. I have tried SMBIOS 4,1 and 5,1 with the same results. 3,1 does not allow the system to boot. With F4 dump, I have a raw DSDT and SSDT-0 but have not proceeded to patch. Seems that the SSDT contains CPU data. Any assistance on this issue would be most appreciated. Thank you! Z400ssprod.zip

Bronx.. I have removed Null and it boots no issues. My generated SSDT is in ACPI patched, however system will sleep fine, but wake to no display. Thanks.
-
Thanks Bronx, I've done that, would any patching be required?

Greetings folks.. I have recently acquired a Dell Precision T3500 w/ Xeon W3550, 6GB DDR3, Nvidia Quadro FX1800 (Nvidia Webdriver). Sierra 10.12.5 installation method via Clover Legacy Boot. System is running with smbios MacPro5,1. My issues presently: Shall I allow Clover to patch, or is it recommended to extract DSDT/SSDT and patch from those. System is using Null CPU PM, can't seem to get around that for the time being. System "Sleeps" but does not wake to a display. Thanks in advance!

Thankfully, my RME Fireface UC still (to this day) employs USB2.0, and is solid, stable and maintains very low latency, even under load. German engineering! Herve, thanks for the USB Wake tip, I have had it disabled in the bios from the get-go. Oddly, I subbed it for a basic Tascam US122MkII interface and sleep worked fine. Just happy I've got this machine running with LogicProX, so much leaner than the same system on Win7. Thanks again guys!

Solved! I re-patched my native DSDT and applied appropriate patches, including USB3_PRW 0x06 and voila, sleep/wake functionality is working. In addition, my digital audio interface (RME Fireface UC) will cause "instant wake from sleep", so that's something I'll have to deal with, or not. I'd like to thank Herve, Jake, and Bronx. Your expertise and depth of knowledge have been paramount in allowing me to achieve stable performance from my HP Z600. This has been my Windows Digital Audio Workstation for the last 4 years, and I'm satisfied that it will now be my Logic Pro X machine. As old as this baby is, it's rock solid and allows me to run LPX w/ numerous plug-ins inserted with lower latency that my previous OS and associated DAW. Thanks again gentlemen! Jake, it hasn't been there for awhile. Herve assisted me in achieving NativeCPUPM. System seems to be running rock solid with the exception of this wake issue. Are there any other DSDT patches or Clover config settings you'd suggest? Thanks for your efforts!

Applying the USB3_PRW 0x0D caused display to go black and immediately restore again. Patching with 0x06 doesn't result in any change of the original behaviour. Still attempts to sleep but immediately wakes. 2017-03-04 12:54:31.918290-0500 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) Wake reason: USB2 USB3

Will do, Jake. As always, thank you!
