Greetings, still not feeling the love with the present audio issues. A complete re-installation renders the same status. Audio signal is active for 2 seconds, then cuts out for 1 second. Did not have this problem with Mavericks. Have tried Voodoo 2.8.6, 2.8.4, and also have also run EDP7 to see if that would result in any improvement. Has any1 else experienced this issue? Thanks in advance.

Greetings! Cleaned out my office D630 Nvidia which had Mavericks, and successfully installed Yosemite via the Clover Bootpack posted on this site. My only issue presently is frequent audio cutting in and out every second. I've attached the 3 audio kexts that I'm running at the moment. They are contained in S/L/E and I made sure to rebuild the cache in terminal. In the interim, I've also installed Windows 7, to rule out the possibility that there may have been a hardware issue. Audio is fine under Windows. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you! ssprod D630 Audio Kexts.zip

With the assistance and patience of the forum crew's Jake Lo, and Pokenguyen's original guide, I've managed to successfully install El Capitan 10.11 on my wife's Dell Inspiron 5537 (HD4400). Should anyone be running this laptop, I'd be happy to share my EFI+Kexts+DSDT. Once again, thanks Jake for your expertise. Kind Regards. ssprod

Jake, i've done that, still no audio. I've attached the 2 files that presently reside in S/L/E. Thank you. Vanilla HDA and 283.zip

Jake, you rock, thanks for your work and contribution! I have full graphics smoother than a baby's tush, however still no audio. Could the issue be that S/L/E contains AppleHDA from the guides' files? Thanks again. ssprod

Greetings.. Decided to tackle my wife's Dell Inspiron 5537 (HD4400) in an attempt to install El Capitan 10.11. I followed this guide (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6721-dell-inspiron-3x375x377x37-clover-install-guide/) and have managed to complete the install, install Clover to the HD, install all posted kexts, and (attempt) to patch the generated DSDT and SSDT files. I was not able to compile the SSDT files until deleting SSDT-1. Into my 6th hour, presently I am not experiencing proper Graphics (screen flickering, trackpad lag, slow response, etc) and am unsuccessful with Audio (no recognized devices). HD4400 presently shows up in system profiler. I have ensured that the name of the DSDT is identical to that of the config. list in Clover. I am attaching my raw F4 dump as well as my patched files and config. list. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Once again, thanks in advance to the champ moderators, and the amazing guide that I've (hopefully) abided to correctly. Peace! ssprod 5537-HD4400.zip

Herve, after a few hours, and with the Nvidia card removed from the system, what finally got me going with HD4400 was installing (I hope there isn't a conflict of interest here.. apologies if there is) Rehabman's FakePCIID.kext + FakePCIID HD4600_4400.kext. In addition, and re: your suggestion--->config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x04128086 has gotten me successful graphics. Just testing now, but for the time being, I'm very happy with the performance. Now, tackling Nvidia is my next task at hand. Thanks so much, once again! ssprod

Herve, thanks for going the distance here. Been busy at work for me, however just tried these 2 files. Regarding Nvidia, still no go without nv_disable=1, however the card and id are acknowledged in Sys. Profiler. Tried inject Nvidia as suggested as well as nvda_drv=1. Regarding Clover Configurator, there is a section "Devices" that accommodates Fake I.D. and has a dedicated Nvidia box with "0x0... should I mess with that? I don't have a SMBIOS filled in Clover, is that an issue in your opinion? Once again, many thanks here!

Herve, excuse my naivety, how should I proceed to execute these values and/or create a patched DSDT? Thanks.

Please find files att. Thank you, Herve. ssprod Herve.zip

Once again, thanks for your efforts here. I have my ioreg file, as well as my config. from Clover, however when I try to extract my dsdt via Chameleon Wizard (chose "Here You Can Extract DSDT from your Hardware"), it renders a dsdt.aml to my desktop that is 0 kb and a message "Could not get table from the file Loading Acpi table from file /Users/alienware/cw_dsdt/dsdt.aml". I've also tried with Maciasl, saving as ACPI Binary, but a message "the document system dsdt could not be saves as... the compiler returned one or more errors". I've also pressed "F4" at the Clover boot loader which put a number of files in Clover/ACPI/origin folder. Would this be helpful? Please advise, thanks. ssprod

Gentleman, thank you for this information, it is invaluable! I am able to boot, and i've installed Clover (UEFI) on the system. I've included the suggested patches, however I've not attempted the Intel injection, as I'd like to hope that my GTX745 can work. Presently, I'm only able to boot with nv_disable=1. Any suggestions as to how I can proceed to getting this GPU feeling comfortable? Once again, thanks for your support! ssprod

Greetings.. picked up a Dell Alienware X51R2 desktop system for a song. Am presently unsuccessful booting Yosemite 10.10.4 to initial install via Clover Legacy method. As soon as the initial verbose completes, the system reboots. Have tried numerous boot flags with the same boot loop results. Specs as follows: Intel Core i3 4150 (Haswell) Intel HD Graphics 4400 (Dell) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 (NVIDIA) I have attempted to boot Clover USB with either GPU, resulting in the same boot loop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! ssprod

Greetings and thanks in advance.. following this guide (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7395-guide-dell-latitude-e6x20-yosemite-install/) .. I'm up and running Yosemite 10.10.4 (i5 2520, HD3000) on my E6220 successfully, however I've just replaced my wifi card with a Dell DW1520 (14e4-4353/BCM43224) and is not recognized presently. I suspect I may have to inject into the DSDT or similar. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciative. Thanks! ssprod

Greetings..The card is not in the list, I will order one of the supported cards today. Thank you, Herve. ssprod

Hi Herve, thanks for hanging in with me.. indeed it was the 43224 that I patched, but Broadcom wifi was not showing up in Network PrefPane, or I'm not looking in the right area. I have re-installed the vanilla kext and have added your above plug-in (AppleAirportBrcm4311), however I'm experiencing the same result.. can't turn wifi on. Thanks. ssprod

Herve, I have just patched the vanilla kext and added the appropriate id's. I have the airport symbol visible, but cannot turn it on. Thanks. ssprod

Greetings, didn't mean to offend this sites rules. Unless I'm missing the research, I see Cooper1's post for Yosemite install/D630 Nvidia, utilizing multi, and other tools not available here. Should I adhere to Herves' Clover method, or am I missing something? Thanks. ssprod

Greetings, Just purchased a used D630 (Nvidia) and was looking forward to trying a Yosemite build, however I'm unable to modify any of the bios settings, as it is presently locked to a system security administrative password. I have emailed the person who sold it to me, and have not heard back a reply. Thinking I'd be tricky, I unplugged the cmos battery connector for a few minutes, however this has not solved the issue. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. ssprod

(Solved) Herve, you are the magic man! All systems are go presently, and performance seems to be improved also. Thanks so much! ssprod

Herve, thanks for the reply.. Out of desperation, I managed to get this baby to boot via MHackusb using an extra folder from an old EDP. I'd gladly send that to you if you'd like. At this point, I've installed the appropriate build via present EDP, and all is functional EXCEPT Audio. I'm into my 3rd our trying to rectify this issue. Would you happen to be able to shed any light on that? Thanks for your support.. ssprod
