In all likelihood, it's USB related. Post your full hardware specs and bootloader's EFIif you want support.

[Solved] Dell Latitude 7480: blackscreen after verbose
Hervé replied to Nguyễn Trung Kiên's topic in The Archive
No such thing as an E7480 -> moving this thread from the E7xxx section to the 7xxx section. -
[Solved] HP Folio G1: Problems after wake up from sleep
Hervé replied to robi62's topic in The Archive
No need to spoof KBL graphics for SKL iGPU in Monterey; SKL graphics remain fully and natively supported in macOS 12. You do not need any SSDT generated by Pike R Alpha's old script. All you need for Skylake CPU's default power management is to enable PlugIn type. SSDT-PLUG.aml.zip -
[Solved] HP Folio G1: Problems after wake up from sleep
Hervé replied to robi62's topic in The Archive
Try and experiment with other SKL framebuffer layouts. I don't have a MacBook9,1 IOReg dump so can't say which layout it uses. Other important thing: you're using CPUFriend with its data file; did you make sure the data file was made for your CPU? I'd 1st run without those CPU tuning kexts, jut with basic default CPU Power Management. -
Precision 5550: About Mac not showing smbios model
Hervé replied to murimoney's topic in Precision x000 Series
Renaming this thread as, even if there were an issue, it would in no way be a "Dell bug" ! Not seeing the basic specs of your selected Mac model under the "MacBook Pro" line (like size, year and TB ports) is likely to be linked to your bootloader settings. Do check them out. Nothing to do with laptop's BIOS for sure. Can't say more, you've not bothered to post any details of your Hackintosh setup whatsoever. This being said, it's such a minor matter, I wouldn't waste much time on it... -
As specified in our wireless cards inventory: No ! Those Qualcomm cards have poor support in OS X/macOS anyway. Go for a fully supported Broadcom card or, better, an Apple Card BCM94360CD on an mini-PCIe adapter board. Look-up our existing threads about this.

[SOLVED] Latitude 3310 (Coffee Lake): Trackpad gestures not working
Hervé replied to JavaMethods's topic in 3000 Series
Derived from here I guess:https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/18153-latitude-5310-touchpad-gpi0-pinning-fix For the 3310, there's probably quite a lot to take from your 5310 contributions @hidematu5310. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/18159-latitude-5310-small-fix-and-cleaning-up https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/18133-solved-latitude-5310-need-help-brightness-keys-f6-and-f7 -
REMINDER: As stated here, Sonoma drops all official support for Broadcom "legacy" wireless cards previously natively supported up to Ventura, the only hardware remaining natively supported being based on Apple proprietary Broadcom SOCs that aren't available to PCs/Hackintosh platforms. The only way to obtain wireless services on older Broadcom or Atheros cards is to patch Sonoma with OCLP patcher and apply all necessary/relevant properties & kext injections. Details available here. Intel cards are not impacted by this and require same 3rd party arrangement as before (ITLWM). As a result, this inventory will no longer be updated past Ventura which effectively froze the situation.

https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/Broadcom_BCM943228HMB Do consult our dedicated thread on Wireless cards in the R&D->Hardware technical info forum section. Do think of using the forum Search facility before posting. It would have led you to pages like this one, this one or this one or even this one... If @MaLd0n gave you this piece of advice, he was surprisingly misinformed or he misunderstood you because it's been known for at least 10 years that Broadcom BCM43228 chipset (PCI id 14e4:4359) is totally unsupported. You'll have to replace your card by a supported model. Above ASM code/properties injection applies to BCM4350-based cards (eg: DW1820A) as detailed here.

Lookup existing HP 640/650/840 G1 threads. Follow the Dortania guidance. Given that you have an existing Monterey setup, all you need to do is update your add-on kexts to latest versions (Lilu & PlugIns specifically), then make the necessary adjustments to your bootloader (version, config parameters such as quirks or boot settings).

Last macOS version to officially and natively support Haswell platforms and HD4600 graphics is Monterey. You may install and run Ventura orSonoma on your Haswell HP Probook 640 G1 laptop but not without OCLP patching to regain graphics acceleration for the deprecated iGPU. If you begin with a traditional macOS installation (which will be without graphics acceleration), make sure to use theSMBIOS of a supported model. You may look at our articles about Ventura & Sonoma to that effect. After initial installation, you may then apply OCLP patching for graphics acceleration and wireless/bluetooth (for which OCLP is totally mandatory). https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/

Look-up existing guides and threads for this laptop. There are several.

@BBoy Make sure you reset NVRAM at OC Picker when you reboot after you made changes to your OC setup.

Big Sur actually provides support for HD4000, it's just that it officially dropped the Ivy Bridge/HD4000 Mac models. But all the necessary graphics drivers remained included. So it's a simple matter of installing and running Big Sur with a suitable SMBIOS on Ivy Bridge platforms (Haswell MBP11,x or MBA6,x or later for instance). See here and here. Ivy Bridge/HD4000 platforms may also run Monterey/Ventura/Sonoma with (OCLP) patching.

Thread purged and renamed because we're clearly miles away from BIOS settings here... You need a macOS compatible wireless card or, in the case of an Intel card, the relevant kexts loaded. Or use the Ethernet card/LAN port, it's a totally suitable alternative.

You’re gonna have to be a lot more specific because what you write is not detailed enough to even ascertain your issue. A screenshot maybe? Your USB installer may not be properly created. We have at least 1 FAQ topic related to creating a macOS/OS X USB installer from Windows. Look it up.

Welcome and good luck! What's a 5740? You must have meant 5470...
-
Sometimes, you also have to re-calibrate the battery: go to BIOS settings, let it fully charge, then let it completely discharge until laptop turns off. You may find you need to repeat this a couple of times. Recently had to do it on my E7270 as it would power off unexpectedly when battery still showed 40% to 50% charge. 'been running Ok after battery re-calibration.

If it's a Skylake laptop with HD5x0 graphics, answer is yes. I don't understand what you're saying about "using SMBIOS" and not being able to save the bootloader's config; 'makes no sense at all.
-
What was the issue (so that no-one dies stupid)?
-
If you're using OpenCore, do you Reset NVRAM at the Picker on reboot after changing your config?
-
Afaik, no. Continuity features are fairly limited with Intel cards. Please refer to the ITLWM documentation. https://openintelwireless.github.io On Hackintosh, full Continuity in Sonoma requires a Broadcom card fully supported up to Ventura (natively or not) + OCLP patching, native support for Wifi/Bluetooth being now limited to Apple proprietary Broadcom SOCs as published in our Sonoma release article + beta threads.
