I managed to fix the problem some how although disabled in bios O2 Micro Sc reader is loading, so I deleted usbhub next from usbfamily kext and bingo shutdown in 5 seconds P.S. yes shutdown problem solved but no usb devices working I might try with usbhub kext from snow leopard

Hi I just recently installed lion on my dell d630 I am running 10.7.2 but when I shut down it takes about 30 second and I keep getting same message. Strangely on snowleopard I do not get this message and shut down is quick. I have google it but can t seem to find anything I attach message Any ideas ???????

I have bios a18 on d630 with 10.6.8 not a problem I also have 5gb ram great

Hi just bought a d630 with nvidia card and installed 10.6.8 on it I found a few peculiar things If I run latest edp my dell dw 1395 card in not recognised in 10.6.8 although I have applied broadcom 43 rev 2 kext Solution went to earlier edp changed dsdt and rest and bang card working....... I also did not like booting with graphic enabler =yes screen would flash a few times b4 loading so changed graphic enabler to no and that solved the problem now card is shown as nvidia quadro instead of 8400gs Also sleep works without bios password dont know if that works like that anyway on nvidia I know it does not with intel cards the only thing I found not working is brightness slider in system preferences but then you can use the keyboard I run in 32bit not 64

Hi just received my d620 today and after changing wifi card for a dell 1395 and installed snoweopard now and again i get kp on bootup with RTC 1.3 Has anyone experience this?????/

I used to get that on my dell d430 broadcom showed as intel but apart from that does it work????/

yes I had same problem like you on my dell 1525 I had to reinstall kext in the end....

do you have sytem info app on your d430???? It app from insanely mac to show all kexts and devices..... I need to know which vendor id is you wifi card This is what you should get when you run system info app kext.tiff Then you look at broadcom id and tell me if 4312 or 4311 etc etc Maybe I can help you

yes you can restore to the partition of your choice of course osx partition.......

@elim To overcome problem of osx not installing on mbr Install it on usb pen or hdd which has guid parttion Then restore it on your mbr hdd with carbon copy and just ignore messg from carbon copy saying that partition in not guid This is what I have done many times

Thats the guide I used working brilliant on my girlfriend dell 1525 With lion I could get sleep to work so I gave up on it

How do you make it work though..... When i had a dell 9400 to make qe/ce I had to mod ati kext and that was a bit complicated but I did not see ati kext.... Maybe you use a dsdt mod???

Hi I managed to get partially sleep working using nozyczek dsdt .aml; but only works first time . If I try again laptop reboots I edited EHC2 so you don't get message in console when waking up Here is the dsdt if you want to compare it with yours dsdt_v2.aml.zip

As anyone manage to get sleep working on dell1525???? I tried everything but no luck It works on 10.5.8 no probs at al Wandering why not working on 10.7.2

Hi guys just wanted to know how do you boot into lion???? I use method described here https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/660-extensionsmkext-in-lion/ I also used UseKernelCache=yes in my boot file Both method make my machine boot up in around 35 seconds The only difference with second method is you have to put all extensions that you use in extra in s/l/e but apart from that both methods are just as quick

Still the same in my d430 but now Iam using this for my battery works with stat and coconut battery 2.7 http://www.insanelym...pic=264597&st=0 A better solution If you can edit for dsdt unfortunately some of the scopes are not present in my fujitsu dsdt but gsly said that when he has got time might have a look into it???
