  1. it probably is not unmounting the drive properly at sleep or shutdown causing it to corrupt the data. idk maybe check your bios settings see whats available for the 2nd hdd option?
  2. shut off bluetooth from bios to see if it helps get a bit further. seems very similar to d630 spec wise maybe try using that boot pack without a dsdt use your own dsdt if you have it. you also might want to look at the dsdt edits done on the gma x3100 d630 and compare it to your own edits. but x3100 graphics and ml do not get along by the way.
  3. boot with -v -f -x flags at chameleon prompt and take a picture of the KP post it here if you can
  4. what chameleon version are you using? they changed chameleon a while back to use org.chameleon.Boot.plist instead of com.apple.boot.plist
  5. if you where on a older rev then yes it might
  6. are you on the latest edp i think it's 4.7 or 4.8?
  7. A18 has an update for the video rom for d630 A18 Build Date: 12/06/2011 Intel GM965 Graphics Video BIOS version 1588 NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M Video BIOS version 60.86.68.00.16
  8. Hey buddy long time no see... hmm. that's odd which wifi card are you using? did you rebuild E/E using my fix?
  9. are you using EDP? you should not have so many problems. d620 should work fine, now the wifi what card is it?
  10. you might need the tscsync.kext to confirm boot with the flag Cpus=1 at chameleon prompt, as for wifi you have to make sure your is compatible with osx... Intel wifi is a no go.
  11. hmm. interesting but i don't experience this issue. i have those kexts in E/E. at least not to the tune of several minutes that's for sure. have you manually deleted your system / kernel caches and let osx rebuild them? or boot with -s flag and preform an fsck.
  12. the d630 can handle ddr2-6400 800 mhz so-dim ram. bumping the bus up if your cpu also has 800mhz bus really helps; osx likes faster bus speeds more then anything else.
  13. yeap it causes KP on lion and 10.6.8
  14. Cheers and welcome to osxlatitude.
  15. it sets your pmversion to 0... in terminal you can type man pmset for more info.
  16. repair your disk permissions or your cache is corrupted. are you using the UseKernelCache=yes flag in your Boot.plist?
  17. check with the other forum as i didnt see this one
  18. another good thing is to set pmversion from 3 to 0 with an ssd so that it wont dump your ram to the ssd on every sleep and shutdown so if you have 4 gigs of ram or more lets say it writes it to disk unnecessarily. fine though for regular hdd. you can set it in terminal with sudo pmset hibernatemode=0 info from man pmset hibernatemode = 0 (binary 0000) by default on supported desktops. The system will not back memory up to persistent storage. The system must wake from the contents of memory; the system will lose context on power loss. This is, historically, plain old sleep. hibernatemode = 3 (binary 0011) by default on supported portables. The system will store a copy of memory to persistent storage (the disk), and will power memory during sleep. The system will wake from memory, unless a power loss forces it to restore from disk image.
  19. wow i havent had that work in ages but at 10.6.1 it should be doable. the later updates of snow kill it, it's in my signature. we might have the kexts archived some where. you need a pcmcia kext i want to say chunan for some reason. ahh found it, got to love google..... https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/166-pcmcia/page__view__findpost__p__1416.....
  20. post your specs and full model info. i'm sure some one will chime in.
  21. no clue. thats why we dont suggest using distros like iFail... when things go wrong how do you fix it if you have no clue what it's doing to your system. im generalizing not stating you personally. most likely if you can get it to work with iFail you can use the vanilla method and be better off as you will know exactly what it takes to run on your machine properly.
  22. tried booting with -f -v flags at the chameleon prompt?
  23. it states your missing appleps2controller kext re install your trackpad kext
  24. so far i have not personally seen a gma 4500 or it's variants working with acceleration. i have 2 laptops with 4500 one is an hp dv5 the other a dell studio 15 and they run well but i have no acceleration and can only watch html5 videos.
