make sure you do not have arch=i386 in your Boot.plist and boot with -f flag

check your bios settings you might have some form of dynamic acceleration on. or your on battery.

well after any changes it's good to repair disk permissions... things get weird with bad permissions in osx

did you hold the windows button and click the volume icon in the top bar to select between audio? you can also do it in audio prefpane and midi setup.

happens to me too on ml on a hphdx16 so it is not model specific. it probably has more to do with ML's powernap feature.

yeah reboot after a myfix finishes if it's loadable it should load.

i happened to still have snow on this machine, and lion and ml.

yes it would be Extra/Extentions.... i have 10.6.8 one you can try. AppleFWAudio.kext.zip

i wonder if you have to use an older version of the kext? put it in e/e and run myfix. do you have older versions of osx?

are you using any other methods like kext utility? kext utility can cause issues with myHack and EDP. adding kexts to E/E and running a myfix should be enough.

firewire controller

try setting your bios to bios mode if in uefi mode. or vise versa.

try adding your device id's into the plist of AppleFWAudio.kext. maybe that will help not sure as i do not use firewire.

does it have a BT controller? you can try disabling it or removing it and test. maybe usb bus is keeping it from sleeping?

wich OS version are you trying to install? if ML it will only run in 64 bit. also make sure your Sata is set to ahci in bios. you might also have to make sure it is booting in Bios mode not Uefi but im not certain if you have the option.

try on different usb ports it seems to no read the thumb drive properly, also check your bios options for usb maybe there is something there that is giving issues?

have you tried a generic myHack build to see how far the x220 gets?

if you use nullcpu kext it breaks sleep with out sleepenabler. http://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/ you can also try using sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 command in terminal in conjunction with sleep enabler. default hibernate mode is 3 if you want to change back from 0.
