New voodoops2controller.kext out by ANV aka Andyvan
Bronxteck replied to Bronxteck's topic in Kernel Extensions
There's a tutorial in the wiki. you have to add a system password in bios. Then run edptool... go to fix issues then disable hibernate. -
But if you installed edp and 687 it should have replaced slics files? Hmm weird.
-
Anders did you have to add graphics injection to boot plist with rev.687 nobody has answered my thread with anything other than D620 intel?
-
Thanks I spoke with Mariusz he's looking at the DSDT
-
no creed i haven't tried it.. but i do not use any of the internal networking wireless or lan. What i do use is a pcmcia linksys that i had laying around. i will try it in E/E tonight if i have a chance.

Hi did you try this look at note Modified version: Not perfect but better NOTE: Turn off bluetooth to access apple trackpad prefpane. no modified trackpad needed to turn on multitap for scrolling Attached File(s) VoodooPS2Controller.kext.zip (135.3K) -
4 gigs of ram max (2x 2gig) need latest bios from dell. install it 2gigs at a time if not it will not register all at once.
-
One more thing I forgot to ask Anders.. have you tried dumping the dsdt using the guide from the wiki? The more variety of latitudes we have dsdt's from the more machines EDP can support
-
The problem is most likely the DSDT from what i understand on that machine so Mariusz is definitely the guy for that.. I read that there's a kext that might help in the meantime by Slice but its for ICH8 controller... I'm not sure if d630 has that though link: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t676.html
-
Sorry I don't have that Hardware But give us some info/specs on the machine... put in your signature. IOATA family you say? Are you running latest EDP? Are you on 10.6.6?
-
Ver. 665 is the most stable release that works for us..
-
If the drivers are not proper then the boot gets stuck. if powerpack will not work for you then do not use it. on d620 intel 950 it is not necessary. chameleon 665 already has it included use voodoobattery instead.
-
Nice mod.. I had tried that some time ago but the drive wound up being defective (the macbook was smashed and then ripped in two. from what they told me Jealous girlfriend) then there was that ugly hole no faceplate
-
Hi Andersah Im guessing it kernel panic'd?
-
Mine doesn't work either, so your not alone in this but my backup is another wireless
-
Yup confirmed... working as expected
-
Hey Mariusz, I didn't catch you yesterday but Leon sent me the file yesterday and it is working perfect on my d620 intel gma... sleep, shutdown, usb, pcmcia, dvd ect... so D620 intel gma confirmed to work.
-
Vorbo if this version will not work for you then use the one leon posted ver. 665 remember this is research section of forum all machines are different what works for one might not work for others. thank you for your input. But like i posted above even i had problem with this bootloader i got grey screen on boot and had to add graphics injection for my intel 950 video card. lately we have been getting users that don't have intel 950 video this is to see if this version works for them. Leon i had to reboot twice before it booted but it might have been my catch file. see if it works on non 950 gma laptops leon if this doesn't help at all then for that, then you have my permission to pull post off.

Several glitches marred the Mac App Store's launch today, with some errors seemingly related to the way that Mac OS X 10.6.6 deals with non-native partitions, and others likely just launch-day bugs. And while the problems could certainly be related to an unexpected surge of passionate interest in a $5 Angry Birds for the Mac, it could also have to do with what appears to be a significant restructuring of how Mac OS X handles DRM. Mac OS X 10.6.6 includes a new Objective-C framework: CommerceKit. If you don't have CommerceKit.framework and the updated Security.framework on, say, a hackintoshed Dell Mini 10v, the App Store won't run, causing an error about a missing helper application. With those two frameworks, the App Store will launch, but won't allow downloads: other frameworks control that. What seems afoot here, though, is that apps bought on the Mac App Store will need to be validated with CommerceKit, similar to the digital rights management on other online marketplaces like Steam. It's interesting that the App Store app itself seems to be nothing more than a front-end to the iTunes Store. Web previews to Mac apps are located on itunes.apple.com, just like iOS apps; there's just a "View in Mac App Store" link where the "View in iTunes" link would be on a song or iOS app preview page. Whether the dire warnings of some digital rights proponents - that Mac OS X is headed for the same walled garden fate as iOS - come to pass is something that will remain to be seen. However, it'll be interesting if the protections Apple has implemented to protect downloaded apps do eventually migrate over to the music and iOS app side of the store. Source: CNET
