i want to install El capitan or Yosemite on my laptop. Not sure which would perform better;sleep usb 3.0, hdmi ETC. Cannot find anything on this to guide, was only able to boot with chameleon and mavericks. I have installed clover builds on HP laptop, optiplex 760/780, vostro 220 Want this thread to help others with this laptop. Ready for a clover build, I can build the USB installer but doesn't boot to installer, instant reboots. Laptop specs: Intel i3-4010U 1.7GHz dual-core Haswell ULV CPU (no Turbo boost) Intel HD 4400 Graphics DW1560 wireless Can provide any other info, thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, this is my first time on this forum and it's pretty interesting how thinghs work around. To tell the truth I've never tried/experienced Hackintosh, so sorry for being noob. This is my Laptop specs, it seems that the cpu and gpu are pretty close/same with the new Macbook Pro 2013 2.0 GHz (i7-4750HQ) quad-core Intel Core i7 Crystalwell with 6 MB on-chip L3 cache(15") + Nvidia GeForce GT 750M with 2 GB GDDR5 memory. (15", 2.3GHz) Model: Asus n550JV - 15.6 inch Full HD (1920*1080) Ram: 8 GB LDDR3 - 1600 Mhz (Kingston) Cpu: Intel I7-4700HQ Haswell Gpu: Nvidia Geforce GT 750m (4GB) HD: 1 TB (5200 rpm) (yeah I know, slow like hell) More detailed info see in attachment. Update1: I made a bootable usb with myHack 3.3 + changed kernel with custom one 10.9 Ivy Bridge-E & Lapic Fix Kernel (http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3606-109-ivy-bridge-e-lapic-fix-kernel/) I have succeeded to boot in USB but unfortunately I got stuck at Pthread support aborts when sync kernel primitives misused Update2: Made a new Bootable Usb using Clover together with the custom kernel + moded efi files. Installation started and succeeded. BUT everytime I try to boot OS X, I keep rebooting after something like "uuid loading ....................................................................++++++++++++++" So could someone please help me? Is it because my Smbios is wrong? And if it is, what should I do to get a good working one? UPDATE 3: Succesfully booted in Mac Os X 10.9 ;D - Wifi & bluetooth doesn't work. (bluetooth works rarely (20 % chance it works)) - Sound also doesn't work but it's fixable by moding with kexts etc. ( haven't connected with internet so is it possible that it will after connection 1* time?) (fixed sound) - About, finder, configuration, wallpaper, live wallpaper, mounting all works perfectly. - It's performing truth to be told butter smooth, and I booted with all cores (4). But it's working whole time on max speed (2.4 ghz) so that needs to be fixed or at least limited to +- 2 ghz so it would use less power & make less heat. - Battery stats could not be seen (0% whole time) (fixed with patched kext) - sleep doesn't work. - shutdown, restart works - Tried iMessage and App store, worked fine without internet (lol). That's it, can't think or find another thingh to mention. And get in bios/efi or whatever and change boot priority for example UEFI: CLOVER boot should be the first one to boot. - Clover bootloader will show up, go to Mac Os installer (or what it is called) and press space than go to without caches and press enter. - Installer will show up, make a Mac Os Extended Journaled partition by going to Utilities than Disk Utility. - Instal, REBOOT back to Installer (trust me). Hello everyone, is there any magic way to improve battery life on hackintosh? (e7440 on 10.10.3). On windows I'm getting about 6-7 hours of battery life on hackintosh its one and half. Is it possible to make a energy profile ?

Hi, I've been desperately trying in vain, to get Yosemite to install on my Dell E5540. My Specs: Dell E5540 with I5-4310U @2GHz 8GB RAM Intel HD4400 with Nvidia Gforce GT720M Intel Ethernet I218-LM Network Card (I've disabled the un-suported Intel WIFI) AHCI is Enabled for SATA I've followed the below guide to no avail (along with other guides in the forums) https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6461-guide-e7440-with-clover/&do=findComment&comment=36589 Not once have I been able to get to the Installation screen. Could someone please enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong... (With Mavericks I tried the patched Mach_Kernel for 10.9.4 which also resulted in a continuous boot loop) I've attached my EFI Folder along with the modified DSDT.aml file. All Im looking to do, is to get LAN / Sound & Video working on Yosemite. EFI.zip

I installed 10.9.1 by myHack on Thinkpad T440s with patched kernel. I tried Patch DSDT but I got error while compile DSDT. "14657, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAME, expecting $end and premature End-Of-File" How can I fix? I'd like to patch DSDT for sleep function and brightness control. (ex. RehabMan Laptop Patches - Brightness fix for Haswell) T440s almost works without DSDT expect wakeup from Sleep and Brightness control. Status: Keyboard, Trackpad, Ultranav - up to 3 fingers multitouch works fine with RehabMan VoodooPS2 Audio(ALC292) - Internal Speakers and mic work with Patched AppleHDA, HDAenabler. but Headphone out makes white noise. Video - HD4400 (with IntelAzulFB=12 option) works fine with QE/CI, Geforce GT 730M is not working. BlueTooth - Unstable (sometimes work, sometimes dead) Wifi - not works (Intel AC 7260) SD Card Reader - not works. not recognized by System Profiler. Battery Status - works with VooDooBattery. TouchScreen(Elan Micro Electronics) - recognized by System Profiler but can't calibrate. Any suggestion welcome System DSDT.zip
