Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 10, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 10, 2018 Could be the BIOS disabled Optimus. Did you have to go back to BIOS and set enable Optimus before it boots again? Downgrading BIOS to A13 might fix the problem.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 10, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2018 Look at the DSDT I posted in my E6230 guides. You'll see that there can be extra code to inject in addition to the PWR method.
dsktoni
Jake, I have not had the issue with BIOS disabling Optimus yet. Herve, I skimmed through the guide you mentioned. However, honestly I'm not good with dsdt so I don't know what to look for. Sorry for my ignorance but can you provide a patch file or patch my dsdt file? attached is a screenshot right before KP. It hangs for 20~30 seconds at ACPI then KP, only on reboot. DSDT.aml

roniez
So with that EFI folder do i need to use the "default" efi bootpack from post #2? from the regular guide or just that EFI folder?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 9, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 9, 2018 You can or just install latest Clover on top to have the latest drivers.
roniez
When using that bootpack that u linked and when i open Clover Configurator under Kernel and KextPatches its completly empty. is that correct? My progress so far. -Created new USB Installer (High Sierra) as per current documentation. -Installed clover as per documentation. -Added Generic EFI + EFI u suggested. -Ran Clover Configuration (checked FixHeaders) Then went to Kernel & Kext Patches but here its completely empty (no patches listed). - Installation is running currently will post result later. - Installation finish, but when booting from usb installer and then choosing "Boot macOS from macOS" it starts to load and and all of the sudden it reboots on me. It looks like i get a Kernel Panic - How can i save the bootlog? any suggestion?
