Raffay
The questions says it all. I have set up mojave 10.14.5 How I can enable brightness control via functions keys. Its irritating that you have to go to System Pref>Display every time to change it. Debug files are attached. debug_3170.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted July 31, 2019 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2019 You can try and identify the codes associated with Dell's function keys and remap them in DSDT. There's a dedicated guide at InsanelyMac on that matter: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/330440-beginners-guide-fix-keyboard-hot-keys-functional-keys/ Good luck. Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 31, 2019 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2019 Simpler workaround is to install Karabiner-Elements.app and adjust the Fn keys. See here for example Another approach is to reset it under Keyboard shortcuts. Select Display and change the brightness keys to F11 and F12.
