guillep84
Hello, I faced a similar problem on an ASUS K45VM, until I figured out that I was using the "wrong" Fn key. Try using the right context key (the one between <CTRL> and <ALT>) as Fn and see if it works for you. In my case it works this way: the "real" Fn works with F1, F2 and F7; all the other F keys work only with the right context key. And for backlight control support, it is possible that you may need to edit your DSDT to include a PNLF section. @EMlyDinEsH Thanks for your hard work on this! Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, with the right key works f7, f10, f11 and f12, and the left, the real, f1 and f2 functions. Thank you very much.
mr-nipples
Hi @EMlyDinEsH great driver! I'm using the V4 Beta on my S400CA, It works but there are many problems with it such as none of the multi touch features working (including two finger scrolling), if you could get back to me I would happily beta test and give feedback! stuckwi
hi! I'm on 10.8.5 on my S3 and your kext wont work anymore. basically touchpad works as a mouse and in settings ive no touchpad detected. any suggestion? or its a known issue? thx! I think I have the same problem as davefraud, I also have an S3 running 10.8.5, only difference is touchpad is detected in System Preferences but it behaves as a mouse. According to Windows8 my touchpad's device id is ETD0504. Not sure how to check device id in ML. It doesn't show up in my System Information. Has anyone gotten this touchpad to work in 10.8.5? which driver did you use?
mavet1
Hi EMlyDinEsH, I have a Elan v4 hardware on Asus K55VD running 10.8.4. Driver version 2.8.3 can detect it and work, but somehow, it is way too sensitive. It could easily enter select mode or drag mode accidentally during pointer movement. Could you advise how to fix such sensitivity problems? Thanks in advance!

EMlyDinEsH
if you run kext utility/wizard, on next boot you should use the bootflag UseKernelCache=No, or else the touchpad won't work ---- I'm really loving the latest version (2.8.3), all the bugs I used to face are fixed and working fine as always --- Is there a way to show only 1 line of code on boot? I think it would make our hackintoshes boot faster since this kext displays a lot of lines on boot (set -v and you'll see) --- On latest version I can't open notification center just by swyping from the edge to the left, I've tried setting that key combination but still no luck --- thanks so much for your hard work, really saved me and a lot more people, I hope you know that Which keyboard combination you've used for Notification centre at Keyboard shortcuts? Have you checked the picture i have uploaded for this? Sorry I have a question. My hardware is v3 and I'm using v2.8.3. I am currently using a modified DSDT which enables fn keys. (fn+f12 and fn+pause to adjust the light) But after I upgraded to v2.8.3, my previous fn keys are not working (fn+f12 and fn+pause). I tried to modify the plist, but I cannot disable fn keys. Also I tried to use the keyboard.kext from v2.1.3, fn keys worked but my touchpad was not functioning. How can I get my previous fn keys worked? Thank you very much. My touchpad driver doesn't do Fn + xx or mess Fn keys, they are only emulated with Right Context Menu Key/using directly function keys using Fn keys mode from Keyboard kext. So, I don't understand your problem with my driver and you dsdt edited Fn keys. Can you explain your problem clearly? What happens if you use your Fn keys(which you are saying not working)? Did you try rollbacking to old kexts? Hey, the kext doesn't load after wake from sleep. Any help here? Is this with v2.8.3? Is it completely not working every time? Can you post your System log after sleep?
