IONIX
After the last security update (2014-002) Version 1.0 my system becomes weird. Sometimes it shows a Kernel Panic at first boot. I switch it off and reboot again and it boots fine. Any Idea about this?
v3ct0r
Haven't noticed anything weird about the update on my end...Can you bout with -v until the kernel panic shows up for you? Then just post a picture of where it hangs here and we'll try and sort it out.

huskerphile
So I just updated to 10.9.2 via the app store. System was working fine before the update. It boots normally through the gray apple splash screen, then the system hangs with a blank screen when the OS should come up. With -v, the system still hangs with a blank black screen. Anyone know a fix?

Guest
Anyone know why I might not be able to see the disk in disk util for the install?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 9, 2014 Have you set SATA Operations to AHCI? Try setting BIOS to default, apply, and then set SATA Operation to AHCI if the above didn't work.
Administrators Hervé Posted May 9, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted May 9, 2014 Indeed, I've noticed these Latitude E6xxx systems often come with disk mode set to RAID in BIOS. It needs to be changed to AHCI for the disk to be seen in OS X.
JazzyJT08
Jake, Is there anyway to get full graphics acceleration? Or do you know anyone working on a kext for it? I'm mostly a noob, so pardon my lack of knowledge. Thanks. I got this all up and running and am very thankful for your post!
