Administrators Hervé Posted May 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 17, 2015 Try it out. Layout-id and port numbers could be different from the E6440 of course (sorry, no personal experience with HD4400 on the E7440 mode) but the HD4400 is more or less a low-energy tuned-down version (reduced frequencies, no VGA support, etc.) of the HD4600 for ULV Haswell CPUs. Nevertheless, they're brothers of the same Haswell GT2 family. Have a look at RampageDev's blog pages for HD4400/HD4600 support.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 17, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2015 Yes, it's the same patch for HD4600 and HD4400 as far as these 2 models are concerned. This only allow HDMI video. You'll need additional patch for HDMI audio.
Artur96
I've removed AppleHPET.kext, but still my USB 3.0 ports don't want to mount USB 3.0 pendrives. The drive is visible in Disk Utility, but you just can't mount the main partition.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 18, 2015 You probably just need to format it first.
Administrators Hervé Posted May 18, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 18, 2015 Did you rebuild your cache after AppleHPET kext removal? Until you do that, it's as if you never removed it...

kfiatos
HDMI (with audio) works well. An hour ago updated to 10.10.3. Do I need patched kernel if everything seems to work?

Administrators Hervé Posted May 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 19, 2015 Haswell-patched kernel is usually required on Haswell-Based laptops...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 20, 2015 Clover has patch on the fly for Haswell kernel. Just need KernelPM enabled which I assume is since you don't have the auto-reboot loop issue.
