Hi everyone, I successfully installed Monterey beta 5 through software update, after cloning my Big Sur SSD into an internal APFS Volume into the standard HDD 7200rpm in the HP Z240 desktop in signature. I used the sudo /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Seeding.framework/Versions/A/Resources/seedutil enroll DeveloperSeed to download the latest beta. I had to add -igfxmlr as boot arg to complete the installation. Overall it seems quite good, despite some issues: - bluetooth is not working (even with BlueToolFixup) - wifi is not working (but 1820A is not so stable both for windows and big sur) - PCI-e SSD is not detected - USB front ports are not detected (probably I should rebuild the usbports.kext).

Hi everyone, I enabled the SyncRuntimePermission quirk and this solution worked for my Z240 desktop: I have an HDD with Windows 10 and a PCI-SSD with Big Sur (with OC 0.6.9). OC lays, of course, on the SSD EFI partition. I did not reset the NVRAM and Windows started directly from OC. Thanks @Jake Lo!

Deleting Boot and OC folders and adding Jake's one, I needed to add a new boot entry in the bios (as expected) to opencore.efi Without resetting nvram, macOS booted regularly and bluetooth works. I want to try again to select windows in the picker, but I suspect it will crash as always UPDATE: I'm really glad to say that windows now boots correctly from opencore! I'm now writing from windows booted from opencore picker! Thanks a lot Jake! This is also a great improvement for me! Is this because of the different SSDT you published? Thanks

Justin, I tried using OC on an external hard drive with USB caddy. I left my primary internal SSD untouched. I was curious to try OC and it was a good mess, honestly. I recommend you to firstly solve your issues with clover, to read carefully dortania's OC guide (read it all, many times) and finally, if you feel quite brave try to "adjust" your files to OC. I suggest also to test your future OC files using an external drive/stick before trying with your primary drive. But, unfortunately, I'm not able to understand your issue. Apologize

Hi @Jake Lo, I tried to boot windows (internal sata SSD, where I host windows and catalina) from the external hard drive (using OC 0.6.0, after resetting NVRAM) but the result I have is always the same. I post it in this video. OC is able to boot both Big Sur (in the external hard drive) and Catalina. And here there are my files. I followed dortania's guide but there seems to be no solutions for this case. Windows is recognized by the picker but I cannot boot windows at all. Do you have any hit? Ps: should I move the topic on another section? Apologize if I'm wrong. Thanks a lot

Dear @mehmetuksel, I always used OpenCore 0.6.0, updating kexts as usual with a macos update. Nothing else. So, I don't have neither 0.6.1 nor 0.6.2 efi folder to share. If you want to have a try, please use the already shared one. Regards

@PrabhuR Sincerely, I didn't test it and I will not test it in that machine. On the other hand, I tried to boot my internal win10 (on another pc) through external hard drive with opencore. The result is a continuous bootloop from the very beginning. I suppose this behaviour is related to the way opencore treats windows: as a bootcamp partition. I will not modify my internal windows partition so I will try to do this (and I recommend you to do the same): create a partition on the external hard drive suitable for your windows partition, clone the internal win10 partition to the external (using CCC, for example) and follow the dortania guide about multiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) systems. Then, try to boot the external win10 partition using opencore. I hope I explained it properly and sufficiently clear. I hope..

Hi Jake, you were doubly correct: I didn't add the patch correctly and I didn't perform a NVRAM reset. So, after doing those 2 things, SD card reader is working again in Big Sur. I updated the EFI folder in post #1. Thanks again!

Hi Jake, Thanks a lot! I had a first trial yesterday but it seemed to me not to work. Hackintool is recognizing it properly but it seems not work. I would like to try with another SD card ASAP (I had only one available yesterday) and then give a complete feedback. EDIT: I confirm that with other SD cards I have no working reader. It is properly recognised but it isn't working. In the attached picture it is clearly shown: I have a 16GB SD card attached (yesterday it was a 32GB SDHC card). Hi everyone, I successfully installed Big Sur beta 4 on my Latitude E 7450 using OpenCore 0.6.0. The machine is already running Catalina 10.15.6 based on Jake Lo's guide, so I will not repeat the same story (especially for specs). I only underline that this is the iGPU only model (no dGPU to be disabled here). Working: - keyboard, trackpad and trackstick (only with ApplePS2Controller provided in Jake Lo's packages. Latest VoodooPS2Controller will not be useful for this ALPS touchpad) - Wifi (thanks to Jake Lo patch) using a Dell DW1560 (as per signature) - Graphic card acceleration - Screen backlight - Bluetooth - Audio - SD card reader Not working - Bluetooth (and webcam) - Audio - Fingerprint sensor (of course, as always) - SD card reader Not tested - SD card reader (supposed not working) Hackintool (and IORegistry, of course) is able to recognize both audio and EH01 usb controller, but they seems to be "inactive" and I don't know how to fix them. Fortunately, USB3 is working, otherwise I couldn't install macOS since I used an external WD HD on a USB3 caddy. In any case, I share my EFI for development and further testing, especially for @Jake Lo. Credits: Jake Lo (and all the guys and teams who inspired him for his original clover guide) EDIT: Bluetooth, webcam and Audio work fixing IRQ issues by adding SSDT-HPET (and related patches) to ACPI. Hi Jake, thanks a lot for your support. I tried first with probook (modifying the plist properly. here the dw1560 is 14e4,43b1). but, as you can see in pictures one and two, wireless card is correctly injected but the wifi symbol is still gray and if I try to switch the wifi off, then it switches on automatically, concluding it is not working properly. This is occurring even deleting AirPortBrcm4360_Injector.kext from AirPortBrcmFixup. I tried to set pci-aspm-default=0 in the plist but no way. Furthermore, there is no network interface in system preferences and I cannot add any wireless network interface. I expect the same behavior with the latitude e7450 but I will keep it updated UPDATE: replacing the 14e4,43a0 that you placed in the config.plist made it work on hp. Thanks jake! I will also update the post when I will try the solution on E7450.

This is not working in my case, both on HP Probook and Latitude E7450 (both equipped with a DW1560). I don't know if it is because of the external hdd where I run Big Sur but actually this doesn't work for me. I'm on BS beta 4

Update: I didn't performed a correct NVRAM reset. After a correct NVRAM reset, the installer is booting into Big Sur beta 4 installer.
