  1. Looks like you made some changes to the DSDT I had patched. What did you add or remove? For one you can remove PNLF and RMNE patches since it's already been added with SSDT-PNLF and SSDT-RMNE The PNLF you added to the DSDT is causing brightness issue.
  2. Glad that worked out. I used Rehabman's sample NVMe spoof file to create this patch.
  3. What happened to your display??! Missing the cover and maybe a bad pixel (pink line in the middle). Anyway, what's the source of the installer? Clean vanilla or distro? Do you have the correct BIOS settings set? Try resetting to default and then set to these settings UEFI enable /AHCI enable /Secure boot off
  4. You seem to have combine your files from E6530 with E6540 Download this and then add this to /EFI/Clover/
  5. If that doesn't work, try just adding this SSDT SSDT-DisableNVMe.aml.zip
  6. assuming your Micron is an NVMe drive, your PCI path is incorrect. Should be according to the location of my NVMe drive PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1d,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
  7. Yes, it should be backward compatible to Catalina.
  8. can't read the real error as it appeared just before that screenshot you posted. You could try making a slow motion video to capture the error. What you could also do is add to boot arg -v -igfxvesa
  9. I'm not aware of Micron drives not being supported. Is it an NVMe or Sata SSD? You could try updating the firmware.
  10. Try taking out the Micron to test the boot disk
  11. Looks like your touchpad should be supported. Add both VoodooSMBus and VoodooRMI, it has to be in specific order. Disable the Mouse and Trackpad plugin in VoodooPS2Controller. See my file for HP840 G3 under update here for information Let me know if you need help with it
  12. I meant the link to VoodooPS2, you mentioned version 2.7 but I guess you mean 2.1.7. Have you tried VoodooSMBUS/VoodooRMI I has suggested on the 1st page? Post your IOReg files, let's see if it's supported
  13. No error when compiling your vanilla DSDT from the origin folder. Only patch that I applied are Battery patch, _dsm to XDSM, wake fix and shutdown fix. The rest are handle by the SSDT hot patches and from Clover Config quirks.
  14. @trieu In the title, you're asking for OpenCore. Not sure what you mean by not able to edit Kext in OpenCore...please elaborate.
  15. Try this, download this EFI, then download the attached, place then inside /EFI/Clover Inspiron_5548_A10.zip
  16. Replace SSDT-PNLF with this one Were you able to upgrade to Catalina? SSDT-PNLF.aml.zip
  17. See here. If you have resolution 1366x768, scroll below to find replacement files. FYI, files are configured for E6430 with BIOS version A24 without discrete graphics NVS5200m
  18. You need to upgrade Clover and kexts for Catalina. Clover v5119 is the best before they made / add changes to the structure to support Big Sur. You can get replace your EFI files with this if you can't find the installer. As for kexts update, try using Kext Updater.app. Basically you'll just need to upgrade the following kexts: Lilu, Whatevergreen, AppleALC
  19. Explain with details when you upgrade. "Doesn't work" don't mean much to help you with.
  20. Here, replace these 2 files. It configure for lower resolution. Clover would be easier to configure. Not sure what you did for touchpad / keyboard to not work. You need an Alps touchpad kext by Dr. Hurt which can be found here in our forum. If it still doesn't work right, then you'll need to export you vanilla ACPI files, I'll patch it for you. Since you still have Clover, it's easy to export. Just boot to Clover and press F4. It'll be exported to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin. Compress that folder and attach it here. E6430_lowRes.zip
  21. What's the display resolution? What version of BIOS are you on?
