  1. voodoopowermini.kext seems to lower cpu temps from mid 70's to 50's
  2. in rc5 you do have a gui plus it comes with chameleon prefpane as a choice. comes in handy for making changes to chameleon and it's an installer package so pretty simple to install. it should overwrite the old chameleon.
  3. apply restart fix in chameleon2 rc5 655 or higher
  4. I believe you can. also you can get a newer chameleon from the osx wiki link is on the top of page or search the forum.
  5. Yes you can try replacing your extra folder with the backed up one.. when you do a model build with EDP it clears the catches for you. also What did you use to install OS X?
  6. Thanks Chris... Makes perfect sense... Just looked and you are correct closing argument is missing from D8x0-nvidia plist
  7. want to elaborate a little more on the subject? what dictionary file is missing from smbios?
  8. yes I tested it last night. the file works but it is only half of the package. so if your thumb drive already gets to the point of MBR_Start or Brrerror or any red wording then you can just dump this to the root of the thumb drive. It seems to be missing the bootsector folder that holds the installer files to make the usb stick and patch it's mbr
  9. d620 gma945 bios flashed fine. and I was naughty too flashed it from win 7 64 bit giving it admin priv did not use dos. (Shhh don't tell CRC lol) also please note I am a trained professional please don't try this at home.... EVER... not responsible if you jump off a bridge just because i did...

  11. there are 3 places to adjust brightness... 1: is in your bios 2: is in system preference display 3: hold the blue fn key and push up arrow or down arrow
  12. then maybe it also looks for a specific pci bus number as well as devid. but that can't be changed that i know of
  13. what im going to try today is pulling the bcm43xx kext out add my devid 4320 and drop the kext back into s/l/e instead of inside io8011watever kext
  14. did you add it to the plist? in io80something kext>
  15. pcmcia linksys wpc54g ver.1.2 model and rebranded it to airport 4320. it works well in "snow" and is seen as a native airport without kext mod or plist mod
  16. have you try'ed the new EDP 1.6 the screen fix is included as a fix
  17. all the info is in my signature.. lol.. yes everything works. the only thing that did not work was the Intel wifi, but that's replaceable if you can choose core 2 duo you will need it in the future (lion) and try get it with dell wireless instead of Intel
  18. Depends what bootloader your installing i guess if it's another chameleon without an installer then on the root of the drive would be "boot" or "boot0" file you would just replace that with the other vertion you are trying to use. or if it has an installer just choose the drive you want bootloader to boot from
  19. crc do you have virtualization turned on? because you need it on also what processors are they core 2 duo? by the way if you use crc's d620 bios sleep and clamshell work.. now if we had a restart fix... for wifi i was looking in io80211family.kext/content/plugins the wifi kext are in there. i dont remember if i added bcm43xx.kext or not before, but i added device id 4320 to the plist file and still nothing i wonder if a have to rebrand to 432b?
