Hey everyone. I'm currently running a 6420, i5, HD3000 and everything is working pretty damn well. The only issue i have is that I will lose microphone input after putting the system to sleep. I thought I saw a post on this once before but I couldn't dig it up. Anyone else run into this? Is there a fix? Should I switch VooDooHDA.ktexts out with another version? Any guidance is appreciated!

OK so I had Maverick 10.9.2 running OK on my 6520. Then I upgraded via update app to 10.9.3 and forgot too do myhack before rebooting. So I was booting to a black screen. I used imicks recovery and delete kext tutorial to boot into single user and delete a few problem kext and was then able to boot into safe mode. I tried updating chameleon. Not sure that worked or not. Now Im stuck in a bootloop and can't access anything from bootmenu.... Thanks for the awesome write-up imick!!!! I was running Mav 10.9.2 for a while without issues. After update i was seeing tons of errors on appleacpibatterysomething.kext and I forget the other one. It was another support kext like the battery one. Once I removed them both I was finally able to boot into safe mode I used to have access to my Hackintosh, but its in storage while Im living in a super small location for a while. Any ideas what to try? .

Hello everyone, I just installed OS X Mavericks on my latitude e6400 with myhack. I tried to install a graphics kext for my intel gm45 graphics, and in the guide, it told me to replace my boot.plist. I replaced it with the one provided, but when I rebooted, it said that it was late by xxxxx seconds, and I had to use forcewake=Y to override. I entered in this boot flag, but after a second, my computer just restarted and came back to the charms lion boot screen. I don't have access to a Mac anymore to create an installer to reinstall, so what should I do? Thank you in advance! Hi all, First of all thanks Jake Lo for the great guide ! I installed following your guide https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/5641-dell-latitude-e6430-e6230-intel-mavericks/ My system is Dell E6530, i7-3540, HD4000, 1920x1080 My current version is Mavericks 10.9.3, I upgraded from 10.9.2 My problem is that I do not have sound working at all and I am using the latest AppleHDA you provided, Apple HDA provided for 10.9.2 also doesn't work (it didn't for 10.9.2 either) These are the lines containing AppleHDA from system.log Jun 15 12:03:06 Cristians-MacBook-Pro.local com.apple.kextd[12]: WARNING - Invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/myHack.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAController.kext" Jun 15 12:03:06 Cristians-MacBook-Pro.local com.apple.kextd[12]: WARNING - Invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/myHack.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDA.kext" Jun 15 12:03:07 Cristians-MacBook-Pro.local com.apple.kextd[12]: WARNING - Invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/myHack.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext" Jun 15 12:03:08 Cristians-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1535 Jun 15 12:03:08 Cristians-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 2205 Jun 15 12:03:08 Cristians-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 207 Jun 15 12:03:08 Cristians-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1094 I assume the first 3 warnings are ok but the next lines are not Any help is greatly appreciated ! Apple released OS X 10.9.3 today. Its available in the Mac App Store, or available as a standalone and combo update. You can get the delta and combo update here: http://support.apple.com/downloads I haven't installed it yet, so I'm not 100% sure what is updated. Also included in the update is iTunes 11.2. Some features in the 10.9.3 update: Improves 4K display support on Mac Pro (Late 2013) and MacBook Pro with 15-inch Retina Display (Late 2013) Adds the ability to sync contacts and calendars between a Mac and iOS device using a USB connection Improves the reliability of VPN connections using IPsec Resolves an issue that prevented Font Book from installing PostScript Type 1 fonts Improves reliability of copying, editing and inspecting permissions of files on an SMB file server Improves reliability of network home directories Improves stability when installing configuration profiles Improves login speed for users in Active Directory groups Includes Safari 7.0.3
