Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 2, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2017 Were you able to adjust the brightness or the screen just stays black no matter what?
abraxis
screen stays black. Hard reboot and usually laptop display is back on next restart. I also tried setting GUI to 1366x768. which is the laptops native resolution
abraxis
However backlight becomes way more erratic. It boots with the screen at the lowest brightnes, almost pitch black. I had to do a hard reset to get the backlight at a normal level. Still can't control it if not waking from sleep. That was for both the DSDTs. It has also happened with the original DSDT. The backlight issue (power management in general?) is actually the most troublesome. this actually sounds like my issue. My screen is booting to black screen every other boot up
black.dragon74
this actually sounds like my issue. My screen is booting to black screen every other boot upAre you using AppleBacklightInjector? This generally happens due to missing PNLF device. Regards
