punjabigator
]Jake thank you very much for putting a new post for the cover install. Its very helpful. When I copied the L/E folder kexts to L/E an error came that kexts were not installed properly. Generally I used to put kexts in S/L/E rather than in L/E. Is there any advantage of using L/E over S/L/E in this guide? So I installed the L/E kexts to S/L/E using kext wizard and ran the commands for rebuilding permission and catch. The following error came up:- Child process /usr/sbin/kextcache[3985] exited with status 77.Error 107 rebuilding /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel This error was there even when I last time ran the sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E*sudo kextcache -Boot -U / command. No audio still Let me know what troubleshooting steps can help. Thanks
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 18, 2015 Run it again until it's successful. sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / Install to /S/L/E is fine.
SpaceKebab
Jake Lo, give Hurt's latest file a shot, with a little tweaking it's done wonders for me. And, most importantly, no KP
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2015 The interrupt version or SonVu2?
SpaceKebab
The SonVu2 was fine, but "jitters" was just as bad as usual.I'm using the interrupt version, needed a tiny bit of tweaking to get working right (comes with a synaptics prefpane) but it's wonderful. Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 21, 2015 The jitters is the reason I moved to Ahmad's refined version. It was coming together nicely but then it started KP on some models. So I started using his earlier version, but that now cause KP on 10.11.1. SonVu's version has been really consistent to all the OS X, other than the jitter and double clicking issues. So what kind of tweaking did you do, changing code or just changing the touchpad settings?
SpaceKebab
No code changing, just synaptic prefpane and adding the launchdaemon to make sure it loads the settings on boot
