@stolidedog Use the yeahoonmerge posted above, it is the most recent one. To install use the link in the first post to the githib install instructions. I know its confusing, I'm gonna see if bpedman will add our kext to the first post. @adrien240 no need for dsdt work. Maybe PM @yeahoon as he better understands how to add device support, I tried and failed , oh and speaking of which... @yeahoon, I looked into the code from which we started with (bpedmanmerge) and it seems that on some models (a select few) my miltitouch fix is not needed as the system auto fires off the shortcut... no clue why.
-
Hmm..no need for plist in this version. What model is your ttouchpad? You can find it through windows, or a program like system info (not the stock one)
-
@adrien240 you should try the yeahoon merge above, it was written my me and yeahoon off of the bpedman base. It has a wider device support and new features. Post your outcome. Belated happy new year!!!

@bzimage Wow, we had the same experience... And as I said above, I had to do a fresh install of Mavericks from Mountain Lion... No other fix.
-
@bisk great yo hear! I have the E6420 with Intel. Have you tried disabling quadramos (deffinitly spelled wrong) in bios? Some people said that worked with the nero bootpack in the e6429 research. @bzimage I have had a problem simillar to that... I had to completly reinstall. All kexts I tried to install caused panic. Something to do with a memory cache... never figured it out.

@firefly1 you have everthibg right. The .dsym is a compiling thing. The prefpanr should be put in /e/include/prefpanes or somethings like that. Or you can just double click it and install it (works better) but I would actually reccomend trying the ALPS mulyitouch I have attached above before v7

https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/ worked for me, use this one first.

My E6420 boots by installing Clover to the EFI partition and select install for UEFI motherboards, and the necessary drivers for your machine. The go to the EFI partition and put all E/E kexts into the EFI/drivers/10.9/ folder. Also put in FakeSMC, and other necesary hackintosh kexts. Then move the file BOOTX64.efi to the root of the EFI partition. Reboot and select EFI in BIOS, then select BOOTX64.efi as the boot file. Congrats!

VoodooBattery works awesome for me.

All, I have a release of @yeahoon and my merge! I integrated the code you sent over, it still has the reverse side scrolling, but heres a list of working on E6420: Working Two finger scrolling Right side scrolling Sensitivity (in Voodoo PrefPane) Track stick Track stick Scrolling (holding middle button) Partial Side scrolling (reversed) Multitouch (3 finger in all directions on my model, not native trackpad PrefPane or Voodoo, its complicated... read below) Not Working 4 Finger gestures Native System Recognition 5 Finger Pinch (May be done sooner that 4 finger... the system just sees 4 as one large finger.) To see if multitouch works on your model turn volume all the way up, go to launchpad, put three fingers down, FLAT!!! not just touching with three, full finger down, and swipe in any direction, if your system beeps/moves from one icon to another, it works!!! then you must go to system preferences ==> keyboard ==> shortcut ==> mission control ==> and select the different actions, and when you have to enter the shortcut, just do the gesture! @bmp152 and @bisk. This one WILL Work. (; Please let me know how it works. Ask questions here on the forum and report bugs, you can always PM me or @yeahoon with ideas as well. Npjohnsonyeahoon Merge.zip

I don't have this problem on any of mine. Do you have any other options for your battery manager? Voodoobattery or AppleSmartbatterymanager? I think this is a generally common problem with the acpi version.
-
@hol64, look at the first page under install instructions, but I would recommend if you have an older trackpad using my Alps Multitouch and its instructions one page back or so, if you have a newer alps they use @yeahoon's kext. Also @yeahoon as we discussed earlier, commit on github when you are ready, then I will follow suit.

AppleHDA kext IDT 92HD90BXX(111d76e7) for Mavericks 10.9.1
npjohnson replied to telanx's topic in The Archive
Actually never mind after my fix and reboot multiple times, no audio! and the old one no longer seems to work! I am on E6420. -
Doesn't 10.8.5 and above support Haswell? I thought it did, it may be (like in my case with a different optiplex) that I had a PCI video card that was unsupported by osx and even after disabling in in bios it still had the issue, the only fix was to replace it. Are you using PCI video?

AppleHDA kext IDT 92HD90BXX(111d76e7) for Mavericks 10.9.1

Same as Jake Lo great speaker and louder headphones, no mic though. -
Reinstall clover and go to customize and add the necessary drivers for your motherboard (you could just start by using the settings for the probook) and then put you dsdt and ssdt into the clover acpi tables folder, that got it working on a similar model for me.

The script will not work unedited, I forgot to put that, this link should work now. You have to enter the values that the HD4000 guide requires, if you don't know how I can do it for you.
-
What Audio card/chipset do you have? As for speedstep.... you could try going back to using emulated speedster (generatepstates and generatecstates) and see if the problem persists, how much RAM do you have?
-
The RehabMan merge would probably work but if you check over at https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller there are downloads for newer versions of the kext for Synaptics only. They have some support for newer models and better gestures... Any other problems?
-
How does the rank system work/what does it mean? Is it like normal US Army Rank? Mine has changed a couple of times in the last week. This is not important, just wondering (:
-
Many systems that use the RehabMan merge (I believe Yeahoon based his off of this) beep when 3 finger gestures are made (firing off) but do not do the action. I will have a kext to try tomorrow.
-
All we have left is the Finger Print Reader, then we are 100% supported!!!! (Protector Suite won't install, and Truesuite doesn't recognize it, it is recognized on the PCI root using system info though... No clue.) Anyone have any ideas?
-
I will try to redo the implementation of support for the newer tackpads... Darn, I though I had it. @bisk and @bmp152, with @yeahoons kext, does 3 finger fire off? (Does your system beep?) If so, then I have an idea...
-
Darn. Did @yeahoon's kext recognize it? If so, I will see if I can borrow his implementation...
-
Also I might add that this worked very well on my E6420, though it should work on all ALPS models, @bisk & @bmp152 try this kext and see if your models work, I would be surprised if they didn't... Thanks for the support everyone!!!
