Did you replace the PS2 and audio kext found in the Update section of post #4?

Do you have full QE/CI with M1000M?

Ahh, you failed to mention you have 4K LCD The switchable graphics / Optimus getting disabled is known. The patch for RTC doesn't seem to be working which is the purpose of the patch. I had tried the Clover RTC patch and patching the kext manually, neither work so far.

Set FakeID injectGfx to 0x12345678 under Devices. You could do this in Clover Options during boot.

Confirmed, same variables, just run the command I listed above. Reason Bronxteck's attachment is not working for you is because it didn't include the AppleHDADisabler.kext. VoodooHDA installer includes the disabler, but the included VoodooHDA is not tweaked to work on this system. Just replace the packaged VoodooHDA with Bronxteck's version.

When booting in the USB installer, it's booting in VESA mode. Generally, the installed drive should boot if you copied the same setting/ files from the USB to the EFI partition of the installed drive.

Check your BIOS, make sure you have AHCI enabled.

I'm on the latest Sierra 10.12.1 on my Optiplex 7040 (similar specs as 3040) but still not getting full QE/CI without setting DVMT. By the way, I found the variable for the 3040, it's the same as my 7040 0x350 and 0x351 But 0x351 is already set to 0x3.

are you sure you set DVMT variable 0x432 to 0x3? See here under the Prerequisites. The command to set for this particular model with EFI Shell is setup_var 0x432 0x3 After that you should have full QE/CI on intel display when you enable InjectIntel set ig-platform-id = 0x191b0000

What SMBIOS are you using? whatever it is, try replacing the board-id with this Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61

You'll need to restore the vanilla AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer.kext if you have previously patched it.
