Dell Latitude E5270: OpenCore First Boot Failure macOS Catalina
Jake Lo replied to AppleCross's topic in The Archive
Have you confirmed if the HDMI port is working...say on a monitor with lower resolution before going that route? I don't know it that actually increase it or only patches it to bypass the check. If you really want to increase it, you can use the shell to increase the value in the BIOS. Look up my guide on how to increase DVMT pre-allocation, use the search facility -

@Omerlatif5490 Try this Config, made some changes to your config file config.plist.zip -
Hervé has a pretty thorough guide here for BS with OpenCore. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 Use bootpack from here for E5470, rename the folder to EFI If you don't have a Mac to do this, then you'll just have to google for a Windows guide, plenty of guides out there. Just replace the EFI folder with one I linked

Apple Brcm94331 Airport Card: No Wifi in Big Sur
Jake Lo replied to esmith1966's topic in The Archive
Which model of Airport Card? It might no longer support beyond Catalina, so you might need to use kext from Catalina on BS. There's a injection kext for this. Check Herve's guide on wireless devices for links -
Dell Latitude E5270: OpenCore First Boot Failure macOS Catalina
Jake Lo replied to AppleCross's topic in The Archive
Disable SSDT-UIAC.aml, enable XhciPortLimit under Kernel/Quirks. Reboot and you should have all ports enable. Then use Hackintool to generate your SSDT-UIAC or USBPort.kext Yes, you need IntelBluetoothFirmware and IntelBluetoothInjector for your Intel Bluetooth, they are not native to MacOS. SD Card reader should already be working, kext is already installed and showing in the IOReg file, but the device won't show under card reader in sys Info. Once you insert the sdcard, it should mount it to the desktop. As for external display, try connecting only the HDMI monitor. If internal display goes dark, close the display util it sleeps, then wake it up. LCD should come up now. It's a workaround. I don't know if HDMI can handle the 4k display, you might have to increase the DVMT pre-alloc in BIOS. Air play? Read the FAQ for Intel wifi feature. Basically you need to replace the Intel for a supported Broadcom wifi /BT device -
Problems with low-res Latitude E6530 running Big Sur
Jake Lo replied to ngtv0404's topic in The Archive
Install CodecCommander.kext -
I'm not seeing anything obvious other than what Hervé mentioned about incomplete SMBIOS. You need to input serial #, ROM #, UUID...etc The other difference is your has MBP14,2, I set mine to MBP14,1

Dell Latitude E5270: OpenCore First Boot Failure macOS Catalina
Jake Lo replied to AppleCross's topic in The Archive
@rommy Looks like I forgot to enable the Battery kext->Fixed Added Fn+F11 and Fn+F12 to control Brightness I'm not seeing any external display connected in the IOReg file-> made some changes to the Config file. Moved HDMI to connector2 Replace Config with the attached and add the 2 SSDT's to ACPI By the way, the name is Jake, not Jack FixBattery.zip -
Do you know if K2200 is natively supported for Catalina? See here

Problems with low-res Latitude E6530 running Big Sur
Jake Lo replied to ngtv0404's topic in The Archive
@ngtv0404 Does your E6530 have a discrete card Nvidia NVS5200m? -
@TechAndrew Sorry I don't have that issue on neither my E7470 or E7270. Have you tried installing the latest BIOS? Reset it to Default, applied, reboot and then set it to UEFI/AHCI/ and disable SecureBoot.

Dell Latitude E5270: OpenCore First Boot Failure macOS Catalina
Jake Lo replied to AppleCross's topic in The Archive
@rommy If you're using AirportItlwm.kext, you won't be able to connect to Hidden network. Use Itlwm.kext + Heliport.app instead What issue are you having with HDMI? Be more specific, post IOReg file with IORegistryExplorer.app while HDMI is connected Don't know if VGA is supported anymore. As for battery status, did you try enabling it from preferences? @AppleCross Rommy was able to boot and install with the files I attached 3-4 posts up...did you try it? -
@jfrank58 Give this a try, rename to EFI Assuming it has Intel Wifi/BT combo card Latitude_3580_OC065.zip

Please post full system's specs. Start with... is it an Inspiron or Latitude or Vostro?

Latitude 7370: Red Battery Icon and No trackpad gestures.
Jake Lo replied to bmwusr's topic in The Archive
Try this, it's not Alps and won't be detected as trackback but should still give 2 fingers scrolling -
Since you own the hardware, why not try it. Use Hackintool.app or USB Map
