  1. sounds great.. please continue on it Here is the dump from the stac 9200 on the D4x0/D5x0/D620/D820 codec_dump from Linux.txt
  2. - is it possible to install a UMTS card with that units only with "installing" the right PCIe card or do they need any additionally work (antenna, SIM card slot)? Yes, just go with the card recommend on the Wiki, those are certified to work with OSX on D models atleast (i havent tested on any of the models you are look at) - does anyone tried or can be helpful with an 8GByte RAM upgrade (any kind of experience with this)? More memory is allways good - what exactly does the BIOS mod work for: It adds modifications to your bios needed to run OSX, while its not required because those can be applied using dsdt.aml in /Extra :- is it "only" for a hassle free kind of installation? Yes :- is it working transparent (like EFI-X) or does it need any kind of boot procedure? Dont know, havent tested EFI-X :- is it covering any kind of OS upgrade problems? No - is the BIOS mod working for the M6300 too? No - could not find any information about the M4400, does there exist any user with experience on it? that model is not covered by us .. yet.. - I like the heavy and alu design of the M6300 and would like to get known, if it will be the same with the M4300? No idea mate - any experience about battery usage under MacOS X Lion are welcome Dont know what to say here.. seems the same as under SL.. depends offcourse how you use the machine.. but thats common for any OS
  3. Hey, I just tested on a D430 and it dident work (my best guess is that D630 and D830 have a newer version) - the D430 (and most other D series) have: 8086:27d8 - 82801G (ICH7) Audio Do you know if this one could be modified to support that ?
  4. if you are up for it.. i would love to see a color version.. that eg. starts with green bars and end in red ?
  5. !!! NEAT !!! Mind if we include it in EDP ?
  6. could be a region issue.. however, that shouldent stop you from rebranding anyway.. i'v done it with plenty..
  7. Try and rebrand it, there is a guide on the wiki
  8. ya.. they dont come cheap, but one thing is sure.. i 1000 times rather have the e6220 and the macbook air.. the MBA is limited in terms of what you can do with it.. (replace memory, cpu, wwan, replace the SSD).. the e6620 is extremely sexy and the keyboard is properly one of the best that i have tried...
  9. Batter...4-6 hours.. depending on how i use it... USB sound card.. i dont think its needed.. fixing the sound on the e6220 is just a matter of time before i have that one fixed also. Do you have a e6220 now ? (i might have asked this before)
  10. Bug found, bug fixed. Thanx for letting us know mate
  11. Hi People, Sorry for the trouble, we found a BIG bug, and have updated the package on the wiki.. please re-download
  12. Yes, just upgrade to 10.7.2 .. that should do the trick
  13. Maybe.. i usually stick to Intel and runcore drives.. can't speak for the other onces.. sadly.. but.. thats what we get for playing with hackingt0shing.. however, alternative to TRIM, is to (eg. every week) run a erase-free-space on the drive
  14. Have you tried the "TRIM Enabler" and are you 100% sure that TRIM is supported by the SSD ? (i have 3 x ssd, only one support TRIM
  15. You can see the disk in bios and install OSX onto it ?.. but not boot from it ?
  16. You dont have todo any sudo yourself, just run edptool.command .. and dont run rebuild.sh directly.. call it from edptool. I'v done 8 test scenarios, and can't get it to fail.. Look here.... -------- Generating /Extra/Extensions.mkext (used as a backup solution) Fixing permissions for /Extra (running chown and chmod) Cleaning /Extra/0edp.kext... Copying kexts from /Extra/Extensions/ to 0edp.kext Settings permissions for /Extra/0edp.kext Copying /Extra/0edp.kext to /System/Library/Extensions Generating new kernel cache... kextcache will now build a new linked kernel, please give it a few minutes before you restart... ------------- Running other OSX Fixes ---------------- Applying fix for .. Waiting for DSMOS, by running chown on / Applying fix for missing /var/db/BootCache.playlist Build done, hit ENTER to return to main menu....
  17. I agree to that but we havent done it, because alot of settings is bound to the serial, meaning every time we change the serial, we would mess up settings, hence why it would be better if people themself change the serial to something they can remember. Offcourse, in future versions, we could consider to make a "settings.xml" file that could be migrated and backed up.. but thats for the future
  18. I dont think machine support is needed for TRIM, just HD and OS.. atleast thats how i understand the specification.. try and look up your HD model number and have a look at the vendor spec
  19. You can use trim enabler to enable 3th. party SSDTrim support on Lion (your ssd needs to support TRIM offcourse) Download from: http://team.osxlatitude.com/tools/TRIM%20Enabler.zip
  20. wow.. thats a different one.. Mario (Bronxteck) is running on the same machine as you without any problems - very strange. Few questions.. 1. Are you running latest bios version ? 2. What CPU do you have in your machine ? 3. Try and reset your bios to default and boot again 4. What is your memory configuration ?, does it help if you boot with just one stick
  21. Must be a some permissions issue at your machine, i'v tested on 4-5 machines and it works there.. try and run repair permissions on your harddisk using disk utility
  22. Change your serial in /Extra/smbios.plist SMserial 53HX14J
