Hi, Thats a no go, since D4x0's sd card reader is connected to internal PCI and not usb controller... sorry

Got DP4 running on a Dell Latitude D430 using clone method (install on a mbp, then use superduper to clone to a dmg, then on the D430 running SL, clone to the Lion partition, use EDP and wolla) However.. i have one problem. My screen is really dark, even when i turn up brightness to 100% its still very dark.. seeing that it turns down brightness durring boot straith after loading fakesmc.. so i guess its some new power function??! Anyone else have that problem or know of a solution ?

then the D4x0 setup is not working, it should show up as a macbook air... i think you have something fishy with your setup

i think its because it still loads smbios etc. from the primary partition...

One of the problems we have with D520, is that i was the only one who had a D520.. and i only had it for a short of amount of time + the dsdt that we are using for that model was copy of the presently used one for D4x0 .. Allthought the D4x0 and D520 is very much alike. You might have better luck building for a D4x0.. atleast.. i would give it a try

Tested, does not work on mine.. i can init the card, but not format it, and even if i format it on another machine i still can't mount it.. does it work on both your D420 and D430 ?

have you tested if it works in eg. Windows or Linux ?

Hey, One major problem on most iDell's is the ability to watch fullscreen HD youtube clips - while some would think its because of the shitty GMA950 graphics card, its actually because Adobe flash suck I urge you grap Minitube from the appstore or here: http://flavio.tordini.org/minitube - it uses quicktime instead, with runs locally and MUCH better.. Give it a try!

hehe.. well.. its gonna be a bit hard to test since there is only D520 users with that network card...

install coolbook controller from www.coolbook.se so you can see the actual speed

the D520 and D530 is 100% alike on the outside, except the D530 in some models can do 1440x1024 in resolution, where as the D520 only does 1024x768 if i recall correct

the problem with the kext is, that its from 1.4 .. your welcome to see if you can find a newer version.. i sadly dont have a D520 to test on anymore... even better advice, replace it with a D530

Hi, Sorry to tell you, but lan will never work correctly on D520.. the kext is flawed and no better version exists. Sorry.. for some reason the D520 dont use the same lan chip as the other models.
