Tebogo
AsusK55Yosemite.png This is a guide to install Mac OSX on a Asus K55VM Specifications: Processor : Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor (6M Cache, 2.30 GHz) Graphics Processor(GPU) : Intel® HD 4000 and NVIDIA® Optimus™ GeForce® GT 630M Chipset : Intel® HM76 Express Chipset Hard disk : Hitachi 500GB 5400rpm HDD RAM : 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM Wifi : Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter LAN : Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Audio : Realtek® High Definition Audio ALC270 USB 3.0 : Intel Panther Point PCH - USB 3.0 xHCI Controller Touchpad : Elantech Touchpad v4 Hardware Webcam : USB2.0 UVC HD WebCam Card reader : Realtek RTS5289 PCI-E Card Reader Monitor : AU Optronics B156XW02 V6 WXGA 15.6 16:9 HD 1366x768 Optical Drive : HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT51N SCSI CdRom Battery : 6Cells 4700 mAh 50 Whrs Interface : 1 x Microphone-in jack 1 x Headphone-out jack 1 x VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor 2 x USB 3.0 port(s) 1 x USB 2.0 port(s) 1 x RJ45 LAN Jack for LAN insert 1 x HDMI Working: Graphics with QE/CI on Intel HD4000 GPU Audio with AppleHDA LAN USB2.0 and USB3.0 Webcam Optical Drive HDMI Battery Elantech Touchpad Sleep, Processor P&C-States with Native power management Fn Hotkeys Not working: Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (need to replace with supported card) NVIDIA® Optimus™ GeForce® GT 630M Realtek RTS5289 PCI-E Card Reader Unknown: None Issues: VGA work but not good For Installation: (Standard) Follow the Steps in the link below, starting with Pre installation, Installation and Post Installation: http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/documentation/ Changes: Wifi : Original Ralink RT5390 not work (Replaced by: Atheros Ar5bhb92-h)) Optical Drive : Not Present (Replaced by SSD Crucial 128GB) Custom Guide: What do you need: - A USB with 8gb - OS X Yosemite 10.10 bootable USB for Intel PCs (copy-paste in google) - Files attached on this post How to prepare usb install: 1- Download this OS X Yosemite 10.10 bootable USB for Intel PCs 2- Install RAW image on your usb (Mac OSX) Open the terminal: Find your USB stick - diskutil list Unmount USB - diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk2 Copy RAW Image - sudo dd if= [drag and drop the raw file in terminal] of=/dev/rdisk2 bs=1m Wait to finish and now you have a usb install ready to copy kext and clover 3- Download Clover EFI, extract and open the Clover Configurator.app 4- Mount your EFI USB partition without format and then copy EFI folder of Clover EFI into 5- Copy Apps folder into your usb install So now you have a full USB Install for this Asus How to install Mac OSX in your notebook: 1- Boot installation from USB 2- Format HDD on GPT 3- Select Partition to install and finish installation 4- Now we must format EFS partition to FAT32, then mount this partition and copy Clover files (to format EFS we can do from terminal or with EFI Tools Clover EN.app (F option)) 5- To install kexts use EDP system “Install_EDP.app†attached or http://argo.osxlatitude.com/edp/download/ Or use "Kext Utility.app" if not work EDP, open, drop files of kexts folder and put your password wait until finish Add and close. Now you can restart system (If you don't have DSDT patched use No-DSDT-Kexts so if you have use DSDT-Kexts) If you don't use patched DSDT i think that you put this string on config.plist to enable HD4000 <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000005006201140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> 6- Then go into BIOS, in Boot menu select "Add New Boot Option" and complete: Add boot option: (put a name) for example: Clover boot Select Filesystem: (Select HDD that have Mac OSX Installed) Path for boot option: \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi Select Create and put the new boot option first. Check too the VRAM of HD4000 is 64MB because probably if it's changed not work Save changes and reboot 7- So, now when system boot show Clover bootloader and just select the Mac OSX partition and press enter If you did it all Mac boot you did well Now put use Kext Utility.app to install RealtekRTL8111.kext, AppleHDA.kext, AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext and others kexts if don't work any injected (EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/10.10) and HWMonitor.app into Applications folder if you want see temperatures and frequency and enjoy your Hackintosh!!! If you have other problems ask me Updates: Clover 16.11.14.zip Older files: Clover 11.11.14.zipClover 6.10.14.zipClover EFI 22.10.14.zip Hello Sergeant! I have a slightly different laptop (Asus R510CA-XX187H (X550CA) than yours, but a lot of hardware is the same. Can you tell me how you got the ALC270 with The AppleHDA working and the battery. I tried your DSDT, but that won't work because I have not the same laptop I also tried the config.plist or parts of that and the different *.kext files but know result. So I think it will be a combination, so can you point me in the right direction? Administrators Bronxteck Posted January 9, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2015 you have to install windows using uefi boot. it will not boot a legacy installed windows. you probably need to do something like this http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/14286.converting-windows-bios-installation-to-uefi.aspx then reinstall clover. or just install a fresh windows using uefi boot.
