check this out..

1. open terminal

2. type: tail -f /var/log/kernel.log /var/log/system.log

This will show you the two logs as things comes into them.. really nice...

To copy the log files.. do...

cp /var/log/kernel.log /

Fantastic. Thanks. As soon as it does it again I'll post it.

Ok if I'm going to buy some more ram to replace the stuff I have what would you suggest would work best with a core 2 duo 1.83gig? I know that you need to match the processor speed or something...

I already have a 2gig 800mhz and a 1gig 677mhz.. which do a replace? or do I replace both?

Posted in 10.6.6 thread too, but in case someone doesn't see this there:

D620, Intel 3945ABG Video, Intel WiFi, Broadcom Eth

I have 2 of these machines and I have installed Snow Leopard 5 different times on them.

My steps are as follows: Install from retail CD, boot from Chameleon, install bootloader,

reboot, backup /Extra, Replace with osxlatitude.com's latest EDP, run edptool, choose option 3, yes to appleps2, no to power and no to PCMCIA. Reboot, enable sleep via http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/c1196/Getting_sleep_to_work_on_your_Dell_Latitude_with_OSX.html instructions. Run updates.

Each time I can get sleep working on 10.6.0 with no issues.

As soon as I install combo update 10.6.6 when I wake from sleep the mouse is horribly laggy and the rest of the computer just creeps along. Please help me!

You can put ram with a higher speed in but it will only work at the speed of your processors FSB which you can find under system profiler. It's probably going to be 667mhz.

Try and follow the guide like we write on the wiki

1. Install

2. Boot into osx

3. bootloader

4. Install EDP

5. Install updates via update menu

6. REBOOT .. dont reboot before this step...

7. Apply fixes such as sleep...
