Daniel
I have a new problem with 10.6.8 - sound lag. When I play a youtube video, or even listening to music with VOX, every 10 sec the sound stops for a sec. It's really annoying, anyone know a workaround for this? Thanks... Edit: Lion solved the problem for me!
Rubix
Hey I've recently completed an installation of os x on my 620 using the image provided on the site and everything worked after edp 1.8 but wireless. From what I've read on here a broadcom chip should just work. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated greatly. Edit: I've got a BCM4311KFBG

Rubix
How would I do that? I'm still a bit new to all this. Also, what was the kext from 10.6.4? Edit: Never mind I figured it out. Thanks for the pointer!
Pascal
Hello everyone and thank you again for your site and forum and explanations that you share with us. To avoid getting into trouble and having to redo all my hachintosh like to know how to update to 10.6.8 still having the wifi functionality. I am currently on 10.6.6 with EDP 1.5 and v2.0 RC5-r665 I use this tutorial: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/62-dell-latitude-d620-thread/'>https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/62-dell-latitude-d620-thread/ Thank you for your help. Daniel
Save your IO80211Family.kext, then run the 10.6.8 combo update (you might need to update your EDP too). If wifi won't work, replace the mentioned kext with Kext Wizard.
JawhnL5
There is no need of saving the IO80211Family.kext, as when you update to 10.6.8, force quit the Installer and run EDP 1.9 and rebuild the kext configuration, then reboot and everything's fine. Andy
I want to ask the people here with D620 if you can get the DELL WIRELESS CARD BROADCOM MINI-PCI E WIFI DW1490 to work in Lion as I found this on ebay pretty cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DELL-WIRELESS-CARD-BROADCOM-MINI-PCI-E-WIFI-DW1490-/290626224742?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43aaac4266 Thank you.
