sipart
actually you can set in bios not to need the password for sleep... so you will only need the password during a boot or restart Thanks bronxteck. Just tried that and works a treat - wiki needs that adding
DellBoy
Can anyone help me to get the sound working on my D620? I can't get it to wake up after sleep either even after following the advice about a password but I'm not too bothered about that. However, not having any sound rather spoils things. Administrators Syonagar Posted May 30, 2012 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2012 Hi dellboy, Have you tried to install / reinstall EDP 3. Cheers!
DellBoy
Would EDP 3 work with OSX 10.6.5? I thought EDP 3 was just for Lion.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 30, 2012 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2012 yes it's only for lion at the moment you would need 1.9.x for snow leopard install it and build for your model
DellBoy
I used EDP 1.9.2 but I have no sound. How does one 'build' it for my model? (Sorry to be dense.)

DellBoy
Thanks Bronxteck I've found the edptool. I take it that's what you mean but before I do anything I'm going to make a complete backup first in case I mess things up.
DellBoy
OK I've backed up and gone through the build process but the same thing has happened as happened before. The trackpad has become almost unusable and I still have no sound. *Update - I've managed to get the trackpad working better but still no sound. Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 30, 2012 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2012 you could never go wrong with a backup.... if you drive is big enough you could partition it and make the clone usable as another install on the same hdd.. good when you need to get back
