Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2015 it might say that if the disk was not formatted to guid partition
[email protected]
It's definitely formatted to GUID with Mac OS Extended Journaled. Can't think what else is up unless the use of the D430 bootpack is not working? Any other ideas? Thanks again!
Administrators Hervé Posted April 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2015 You're sure it's a retail version you have, not a recovery version? Because only the retail version has all the necessary installation files required for a Hackintosh. Try the attached D420 pack. Run myHack->Install Extra and replace your current /Extra folder with this D420 pack. D420_SL_pack.zip
[email protected]
Almost 100% certain its a retail, is there a way to check at all? Thanks for the bootpack!
Administrators Hervé Posted April 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2015 If it's a "download", I don't know; never had a Recovery version...
[email protected]
Just tried again and still fails, I've attached the install log if you can see if you can identify what's wrong. Is it complaining about not having a WiFi radio available?
Administrators Hervé Posted April 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2015 Ok, the DSDT in my earlier bootpack made specific reference to a DW1490 as an Airport device type (it comes from my own D430). I've modified that. You can grab the modified DSDT in the attached pack now and replace the file you currently have. D420_SL_pack.zip What kind of wireless card do you actually have? [email protected]
Now its just saying all of what it said before but just "Not loading airport menu exrea becasue this machine does not have any wireless networking available" think its an intel 4965AGN. I tried with another build and it said 'Read the before you install section of the manual' on the popup about it not being able to install.
