I assume you have BrcmPatchRAM2 & BrcmFirmwareRepo in /L*/E*? Boot to Clover GUI, hit the F4 key, continue on booting OSX Mount the EFI partition, navigate to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin If you don't see SSDT-14-DptfTabl.aml, then you should use the DSDT/SSDT from the alternate bootpack instead. If you do, then try disabling Legacy Option ROMs in the BIOS.

Dell 3540 Sierra - Post installation and HD4400 Graphics fix
Jake Lo replied to lucky9's topic in The Archive
I see a lot of missing or wrong files from your attachment, I believe this is from your internal EFI partition which is why it won't boot 1) The Extra folder is for Chameleon loader, won't work on Clover 2) There's no kexts found in /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other or any 10.xx. folder, perhaps you install them to the system directory 3) The Config file is almost empty, not sure how you're able to boot with that as it is now 4) Files in /EFI/Clover/Drivers64UEFI does not reflect those if installed from v4243 Since you're able to boot with the USB Installer, you should replace the Clover folder from the USB EFI partition to the HDD EFI partition, that should fix your boot issue from the HDD. Please list the kexts you have install with kext utility, run this from terminal, post the result here sudo touch -f /L*/E* Sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -i / -
Launch Config.plist with Clover Configurator (use latest 4.53). Under ACPI, enable FixHeaders_20000000 Under SMBIOS, on the right side, click on the up/down button, select the same model you're using. This will update the SMBIOS and add Firmware Features and Mask. Save and reboot

You need to disable the Nvidia card either through the BIOS if permitted or through DSDT/SSDT patching.

Hmm, try this. Also try resetting the BIOS to Default. Apply and go back and set to AHCI, UEFI, secure boot disable, TPM disable, XD Support Enable config.plist.zip
-
Ok, try this. Replacing the DSDT in Patched folder as well HS2.zip
-
try this config just hang on there, we'll get there. Just had to figure out which SSDT is causing the error, seems only occur on HS, and not Sierra config.plist.zip
-
Try with this Config config.plist.zip
-
I replace the files in post #4, try again
-
What version of BIOS are you on?? Try replacing attached files to /EFi/Clover Boot with verbose mode and post status HS.zip

Hervé is right, if you want to install El Capitan, go with 10.11.4 or higher. You can try with my Clover guide to start with. You could try precision 5510 bootpack on post #2, but leave out the DSDT/SSDT in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched Pay close attention to Note2 on bottom of post 2 regarding DVMT. If you can set it in the BIOS, great! If not, then go with adding lilu & IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup. Once you have a bootable USB installer, boot to the Clover GUI. Hit F4, this will extract raw file in the background, only take a second. You can try continue to install, post error you may encounter here. Compress and attach /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin folder here for patching. Note: make sure there files in there...also include the BIOS version you're running.

Installing MacOSx on E5450 clean notebook block icon error
Jake Lo replied to d.verheij's topic in The Archive
Which OS X are you trying to install? El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra??? What's the system's Specs, does it have Nvidia card with HD 5500? What version of BIOS? Which tutorial did you follow, provide link. Boot with verbose mode by selecting it at the Clover GUI. Hit the spacebar at Clover Post KP here -
You'll need to have a Mac system to create the installer. The EFI is just boot file to allow booting on a PC system. If you don't have a Mac to work with, you could try using Windows http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/288795-guide-creating-os-x-usb-installer-using-a-windows-pc-only/?do=findComment&comment=2012539

No, it doesn't matter. So you had El Capitan installed and then you added Sierra, but only Sierra is in the boot option and is bootable, not El Capitan? Did I get that right? As I mentioned earlier, the attached EFI file does not sync with the screenshot you had posted. Could be the EFI the system is booting from had the El Capitan partition hidden. Look at About this Mac, does the serial # = C02KTM6KFGYY ?

Ati needs to be fully disable in order to install HS on system with Optimus. Boot to Clover, at the GUI, hit F4. This will extract raw files into the EFI partition. Compress and attach the folder /EFI/Clover/ here for patching You Intel Wireless combo card will need to be replace with a supported card. Ie DW1560 or DW1830

[Mini Guide] Dell Latitude E7270 update Sierra to High Sierra
Jake Lo replied to 4Nub15's topic in The Archive
Both doesn't work. The internal LCD doesn't resume, just plain blank screen when connecting to HDMI or after wake from sleep. From the HDMI display I could see that both display is active, also in IOReg, it shows active, but LCD remains blank. It's not that the display brightness is decremented, it's just blank. -

I can confirm the same issue on my E7270 running High Sierra, works fine on Sierra. So something must've change in the FB, will have to investigate. Note: This issue doesn't occur on E7470, it's bigger brother
