@acquarius.13 No, latest OC 0.6.6 has made a lot of changes especially with dual/multi boot. It added an option to not load ACPI patches made for MacOS to other OS's. The patches was originally made for Dell's truncated SMBios but now also include that patches I just mentioned. I also removed / commented out the 3rd display patch for ig-platformid. I noticed that when I enter the password, it doesn't display the input right away. That's now fix. Another thing, the memory tab under system info is also working showing, no longer need a kext which wasn't working in OC anyway. Glad my new files also worked for you too. Great improvement I think.

Don't know if this plays apart in the error or not, but all the drivers under Tools are not from OC 0..6.6, most likely from 0.6.5. Update them and see if it helps

Dell Precision 7510: unable to get Intel HD 530 Graphics working
Jake Lo replied to cowboy_wilhelm's topic in The Archive
Your platform-id is in the wrong location for HD530 Add this instead PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) AAPL,ig-platform-id = 00001619 device-id = 16190000 framebuffer-fbmem = 00009000 framebuffer-patch-enable = 01000000 framebuffer-stolenmem = 00003001 You could try my files here Make sure to have Switchable Graphics enabled in BIOS, UEFI enabled, AHCI enabled and secure boot disabled- 17 replies

As Hervé said, make sure all is working before enabling FileVault. That should be the last thing to test if you want that enabled. I have no experience with FileVault on a Hack ever. I have the latest BIOS version installed but the bootpack is hotpatched so it's not BIOS version dependent.

Here's my latest with OC 0.6.6 I don't use FileVault, system currently boots to login in 20 secs. Bluetooth works with DW1560 I'm using 1Revenger1's voodoops2 If it doesn't work for you, replace it with Dr. Hurt's

@chr0sy Tested your files on my E7450. I had to remove Airportitlwm, IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBluetoothInjector and LegacySierraQMI since I don't have those devices. I had to also disable / remove SMCDellSensors otherwise I lose touchpad after sleep. I added AirportBrcmFixup, BrcmBluetoothInjector, BrcmFirmwareData, and BrcmPatchRAM3 for my DW1560 card. Sleep / wake works just fine. All apps continue working. I don't even need to change another in hibernation mode. You can start troubleshooting by 1st removing LegacySierraQMI. Not sure if that's even supported in BS.

did you replace or just add the kext? should only have 1 enabled Kext is by 1revenger1 for Alps touchpad, if that doesn't work, then go with Dr Hurt's VoodooPS2Controller R6
-
No voodooi2c is for I2C trackpad only. Try this one VoodooPS2Controller-Alps.kext.zip
-
What's in DSDT? What patches does it have? Can it be removed? Try this SSDT-XOSI SSDT-XOSI.aml.zip
-
Replace with this Config. Added proper patches to your config to add the brightness Fn keys config.plist.zip
-
you can enable drag and drop under Accessibility -> Pointer Control As for the Fn keys, you'll need to create your own patches for the keys, see here

OC 0.6.6 removed Bootstrap.efi. So if you're upgrading for an older version, make sure to reset NVRam. I had to go to the BIOS and remove OpenCore boot option and let it detect OpenCore.efi instead. When OC picker comes up, I select Reset NVRam to boot. I don't use FileVault, but make sure you have the added driver for it.
-
What did you do to fix it? I'm running OC 0.6.5 (Broadwell) on one system and OC0.6.4 (CoffeeLake) on another, both have no issue detecting and upgrading. I have not tested OC 0.6.6
-
My mistake, bootpack was using SSDT-GPI0-GPEN.aml instead of ssdt-XOSI.aml for I2C Glad you got that squared away Add Sinetek-rtsx.kext if you would like sdcard reader to work.

Dell Latitude 5490 - HDMI monitor works only when hotplugging

Add this kext if you want the SDCard reader to work too -
You'll need to be using the VoodooPS2Controller by Acidanthera. Have you tried switching to his kext? See if it makes a difference. Can't use VoodooSMBUS since you're touchpad is not SMBus based. Have you tried rebooting a few times? Sometimes it just need to be cached.
-
Files and patches are included in the link provided above. You need to add SSDT-BRT6.aml The following patches under ACPI in these order OSID to XSID _OSI to XOSI BRT6 to XRT6
-
Could be the kext no longer fully support newer OS X. I see it has a Synaptics touchpad. If you have Windows installed, can you check if it's an SMBus trackpad? If so, you can try https://github.com/VoodooSMBus/VoodooRMI

Post latest Clover folder you have that boots and include IOReg file from IORegistryExplorer.app
-
Touchpad that works but not show in preference pane is usually due to the Battery status not working. Your SMCBatteryManager is old, update it to the same version as VirtualSMC. Please post IOReg file with IORegistryExplorer.app
