There are no kexts for Camera. As long as they are UVC, they're normally supported. However, not on the E6320 it would appear... Did you try Macam?
-
By the way, I came to realise I had missed a couple of things in my initial /Extra so I've updated the uploaded file. It's all complete now.

Initial build with 10.9.1, followed by 10.9.4 Combo update. This particular model is 100% operational as far as I can see, a most excellent Hackintosh throughout. GeekBench 2.4.3 (32bit) gives a good 6000+ rating: Everything in the pack below: E6420_i5-2410M_HD3k_Mav-Pack.zip Other E6420 laptops fitted with same graphics hardware config (GPU + Screen) but different CPU will require a different and suitable SSDT table than provided in the above pack (can be looked up on the web or created with SSDT generator tool -> See RampageDev's blog for detailed guide). In such cases and in order to avoid CPU power management-related kernel panics (KP), NullCPUPowerManagement kext is probably required until the CPU-specific SSDT is generated. The kext just needs to be added to /Extra/Extensions followed by myHack->myFix (quick).

You need the AppleACPIPlatform kext v1.3.5 aka EDP's "CoolBook fix", at least with 10.74/10.7.5. Which version are you installing? No need for NullCPUPowerManagement. Native AICPM is supported with appropriate FakeSMC + SMBIOS & boot plists. You'll find all about it in R&D section of the forum and in the Articles section of the web site. Hint: look at the very bottom of your browser page's when in the forum...

I've looked again at my wife's laptop and I corrected my post above because it's actually fitted with i5-2410M CPU and HiRes screen. BIOS is A06. I no longer have the Maverick build for it but will redo one and will post my /Extra afterwards. For graphics, BIOS shows the following info: controller -> Intel HD Graphics BIOS version -> 2089v11 memory -> 64MB Panel type -> 14.0" HD Native res -> 1600x900

I assume you're using the patched kernel for Haswell, right? Did you try bootloader option as npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000? Can you post your /Extra?
-
DSDT should be the same regardless of the CPU. SSDT is the table to be changed according to CPU for Sandy/Ivy/Haswell. You can either look for a pre-made file on the Web or make your own with one of the published guides (e.g.: at RampageDev's blog).
-
Maybe you've used the wrong boot pack. What's in your /Extra?
-
He's running 10.9 not 10.10.
-
Then, you should go for Jake Lo's boot pack; it's available by clicking on the blue E6420 link in his signature. It includes the DSDT + Intel FrameBuffer

That'll be due to having the wrong DSDT I reckon. I had a very similar situation when I Maverick'ed my wife's E6420 (i5-2410M @2.30GHz, Intel HD3000 only with 1600x900 LCD) a few months ago. Fixed after using the right DSDT, getting corrupt ("plaid") screen initially. I guess it depends on your screen.

http://www.osxlatitude.com/tuning-performance-with-fakesmc-smbios-plist/ https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2673-performance-tuning-with-fakesmc/ Check which SMBIOS Clover is using by default and tune your FakeSMC accordingly (SMC keys + smc-compatible parameters).
-
it would really please me if people actually bothered to read existing publications and threads or searched the forum before posting questions. The permanent spoon feeding is getting quite tiring...
-
In such cases, you should turn to Clover.
-
Sounds like you've used some incorrect files... You need to use one of the most recent FakeSMC versions; I've published v5.2.678 in the related thread in R&D section of the forum. Use those files.
-
You can use SMBIOS for MacBookPro (6,1)/(6,2) with SMC keys 1.57f18/1.58f17 and smc-piketon. GeForce GT 330M is based on same nVidia chip as Quadro NVS 3100M, so GPU PM should be the same.
-
Read the article & thread about Performance Tuning and try things out. I don't think you needed to do that AGPM kext patching at all.
-
Have you done the FakeSMC/SMBIOS tuning? If not, look it up and do the tuning.
-
Fair enough about 1.69F4 then, but I have other documents that stated 1.69F3 and it worked well on the HP mobile workstation I tested this on. 1.69F4 could be an Apple update of course... You can google for those various battery management kexts or look them up on Hackintoshosx.org (ex kexts.com). For instance: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/183-applesmartbatterymanager-kext/
-
Use the instructions published in my similar thread for D630 in this very section.
-
SMC keys for MBP8,2 should be 1.69f3 not 1.69f4. You selected DualLink in your boot plist, was BackLight not sufficient? Your DVD issues will be linked to your graphics problem. For battery management, there are several kexts: Voodoo but also some Apple, so if one does not seem to work well, you can always try another.

OS X Mavericks won't boot after update of chameleon

Who knows? Last version I use on my D Series is r2377. I think it was the last version downloadable before the repo server went tits up. boot-r2377.zip -
OS X Mavericks won't boot after update of chameleon
Hervé replied to neverly1's topic in The Archive
Did you try to boot with -v to see where things stop? If you think it's Chameleon related, try and boot through a myHack USB key and re-install an older version of Chameleon.
