have you checked your bios for usb bus options like highspeed or legacy support? also i looked into the dell bios page for that machine. it seems to have alot of fixes for hdd detection and usb.. latest seems to be a10

shut off your bluetooth. or remove it physically

what bios settings are you using for sata? also are you using an original appstore download? you will most likely have an un sucessfull build with torrent images.

well then use that to make an installer if it's still working. chameleon is not an os.. neither is iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded). they are boot loaders. and im am also pretty sure your looking for a better method if not your search would have ended at tony's site and you would be content. truthfully it is a cach22. to use our method you need osx 10.6 or higher. simple as that. you are free to choose your own install method but please do not come here with some demeanor that we owe you anything we do not do this for profit cause if we did we would be broke ass fucks.. running this site come out of our own generosity total donations maybe paid for 1 months fees for the site, server, domain and backened, we have been running it for 2 and a half years for all to enjoy. here we freely help each other on our own free will and time, no time clock to punch in. we share info and suggestions and with that it either works or it does not. also we are not running macs.. we are running an unsupported operating system on unsupported hardware. so thats what it boils down too .... hacked sh1t. it either works or not. there are versions of chameleon that have windows installers and there are iso's available of chameleon. uses google and you can find them.

does it still have the stock blue thermal pad under the cpu heatsink or have you upgraded it with the copper shim? sometimes the blue pad comes off and leaves a gap where it used to be. just filling in the void with thermal compound will not suffice. it has to make direct contact with the heatsink.

are you sure the cpu heatsink is making proper contact with the cpu? is that temp all the time or just during intensive tasks like streaming video?

DSDT=0 bypasses the DSDT.aml file in extra as it is not for your model you might want to remove it. then you wont need to use the flag. or clone the drive so your d630 isn't without an hdd and then remove it for the acer hdd. the intel wifi goes without saying... it wont work needs replacement with something osx supports, the sound you will need a new kext for that supports your Realtek ALC888. use myhack to run myfix after the new kexts after replaced in your Extra folder. you will have to remove replace the audio kexts.

sounds like a corrupted update install. if you have a second osx install on the hdd then boot to it and reinstall the update if not then boot with the myhack installer and use disk utility to repair disk then repair permissions. once finished run the myhack utility and run "install Extra" point it at your Extra folder. if that still does not get you back then you can reinstall osx on top of the existing install if you have data you dont want lost or a clean install unfortunately.

well does it shutdown properly if you remove the second HDD?

in terminal type in myFix -t / hopefully it will rebuild your cache.

download our boot pack for your model type. tell myhack to use it as the Extra folder.

have you tried the darkwake option in chamelon wizard in the boot plist section?

ok got some info from Conti... 1. use diskutility to restore the 10.6 dmg or dvd to the usb then do the following seperatly 2. run "install myhack utilities" 3. run "install chameleon" 4. run "install extras" and choose your model boot pack.

it's important to update the firmware first especially OCZ i have a vertex 3 256 http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-vertex-3-sata-iii-2-5-ssd.html first thing i did was update the firmware. i havent had an issue yet with it. also for ssd it is good practice to turn off hibernate mode 3 and set it to 0. mode 3 dumps all your ram to the ssd on sleep and shutdown... so if you have lets say 8 gigs of ram it will dump that on every sleep and shutdown. standard hdd is ok but an ssd has a shelf life. every read/write shortens it's life span.

maybe hpet is stealing the BT irq on wake. there was a thread somewhere on the forum about bt and some dsdt edits.

do you see nvhal40 loading in verbose mode?
