  1. i get about 3 to 3-1/2 hours on my 2 year old 9 cell official dell battery.
  2. make sure it's seated correctly and that pci and wifi are on in bios like Syonagar states... if you have a model with a wifi switch then make sure it's on as well
  3. what os and version are you using for rebranding as that also is a factor?
  4. well there are a couple of ways around that that happened to me with my desktop. what i did was connect my sata hdd to a usb converter then it was seen in the disk utility... then i installed osx that way. once it booted i was able to run lion off of usb enough to dump my dsdt and install ioatafamily from 10.6.7 into s/l/e rebuild my caches and install the hdd back to my internel sata... you van also try at chameleon prompt -v npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000 but if you patch your DSDT properly then you do not need the ioatafamily kext from SL 10.6.7
  5. try rebooting sometimes voodoo hda kp's on first boot or try -v -x also if you have a "backup" extra folder on root of drive you can boot to it using Extra=whatever you called it. and it is case sensitive so if you have caps in the name you need to use em...
  6. my hack only works with retail osx.... so ... i guess ya might have to buy the os....
  7. try repairing disk permissions with disk utility.
  8. actually 2.3 is on hold we are working on re making and re-coding all of EDP..... so most likely the next version will be 3.0 and hopefully expand to work on any computer not just dell latitudes. since EDP is an Extra Driver Package. so hopefully great things come from it so all hackintosh's can benefit. who knows maybe EDP will be integrated better with MyHack to cut down on some of the steps....
  9. chameleon gets installed usually to the first mac os partition which would be the partition you originally installed the boot loader too, not on every partition. also use the newer version and make sure the Boot.plist is named org.chameleon.Boot.plist. yes the extra folders do differ from 10.6 and 10.7
  10. 965 crestline graphics i beleive is the x3100
  11. are you sure the rom works properly?
  12. try sudo touch System/Library/Extensions in terminal
  13. do option 1 then rebuild from existing option a.... also repair your system permissions with disk utility.... your kernel cache is corrupted
  14. boot -x -v UseKernelCache=No
  15. try then using option 1 then a rebuild from existing in edp if your wifi kext is in e/e.
  16. sounds like your boot loader is corrupted. try the boot loader install from my hack 2.2
  17. yeah it killed me when i updated to 10.6.8 and pcmcia was no longer functional having been using my linksys card that i had rebranded not function anymore.... but i replaced it with an internal one and better off i guess. but still the circumstance sucked.
  18. not much you can do in lion.... support for legacy 16bit bus was dropped. same goes for latitudes with sd card slot on pci buss
  19. i think in edp is option>1 then option>a rebuild from existing
  20. try booting with UseKernelCache=No -x -v maybe the cache is not generated or corrupted.
  21. hmm... the first thing you would need is a modified dsdt of your machine and also know your graphics type.... the d630 has gma 965 chipset so that might be a starting point for you build wise. so it might have the same inherent qualities.... good and bad.... like not letting you install if it has intelwifi enabled in bios.
  22. you can try with clonezilla http://clonezilla.org/
  23. Cheers Im glade it helped you out as well... and thanks for helping around!
  24. the differences would be in dsdt.... but check your bios for what type of video card you have and build for that model... gma or nvidia you might be choosing the wrong one idk it can happen
