  1. well last i see is that fakesmc is having issues. also what chameleon are you using, if it's recent then you need to rename com.apple.boot.plist to org.chameleon.Boot.plist are you trying to boot 10.7.3?
  2. just turn it off in advanced bluetooth settings while your there you might want to turn off the mouse search as well...
  3. you sure you don't have a high res model check in bios? or the boot graphics set too high in the Boot.plist try like a 1024x768x32?
  4. are you running 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram or 32? 32 really does not utilize all the extra ram.
  5. did you rerun edp after doing the update?... it most likely needs to rebuild the kernel cache again... use option "a" rebuild from existing option.
  6. the only thing i could think of is look at the dell bios updates maybe one of the newer ones upgrades your video firmware bios a12 update states Fixes & Enhancements Fixes/Enhancements ------------------ 1. Updated Intel Video BIOS. 2. Updated Nvidia Video BIOS. 3. Enhancement for thermal control. or latest a18 bios BIOS Release Notes Systems: Dell Latitude D630 Series Version: A18 Build Date: 12/06/2011 Intel GM965 Graphics Video BIOS version 1588 NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M Video BIOS version 60.86.68.00.16
  7. first fix your permissions then rebuild edp from existing; use option (a)
  8. your 100% this thing is nvidia right? it should state so in the bios..
  9. yeah i believe it's 8 gigs max i don't know who wrote that spec compare... maybe it needs updating http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Latitude%20D630&Cat=RAM maybe they meant it take 4gig modules not overall memory amount? crucial says 8 and i do believe gma 965 chipset can handle 8 gigs of ram
  10. use a dsdt from this link, replace the one in the bootpack https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/897-d830-nvidia-black-screen-after-update-solved/page__p__6184__hl__solved__fromsearch__1#entry6184
  11. well the gma4500 graphics only works in VESA mode no hardware acceleration, apple never used that graphics so no real support.
  12. well as there are no 64 bit x3100 kexts what happens is osx goes into vesa mode from mach_kernel so that is why it shows that the kext is not loaded but works without acceleration. what are you using for a boot.plist that it's loading in 64 by default? or have you modified it to do that? another thing you can try at chameleon boot is UseKernelCache=no just in case it's a kext not loading properly or a corrupted cache.
  13. lol... i meant at the chameleon boot prompt type in GraphicsEnabler=yes hopefully your chameleon boot loader is higher than 1819 if that docent help try with the no option
  14. have you tried GraphicsEnabler=yes at boot? if not try with a newer chameleon like the one in myhack2.2 or higher
  15. well you got it all pretty much down pact there... d630 install is quirky it can either go flawless or kick your ass. the d630 has better specs than the d620... but the x3100 graphics are slower than d620's gma 945 graphics. the brightness issue is a lion thing with the framebuffer kext witch edp has a fix for. but if you looking to go into the next generation of osx mountain lion... then that wont happen... as of yet. d630 nvidia might have a chance though just a theory of syonagar and i, but we have not tested as we dont have one to do so.
  16. i use the anv-slice option 4 one.... but it can get quirky. do a permissions rebuild and it tends to behave a while, but too many sleeps and it won't know how to act... lol
  17. nope so far ML dp2 is running 64bit kernel only... and the intel GMA's kexts are 32bit. but it seems that they also removed VESA graphics mode. so at this point the GUI does not load at all. you get stuck in terminal right before the installer screen should load.... it does not look good... unless we get 64 bit graphics support and the elusive 10.6.2 supposed 64 kexts don't load either. but even if we get them to load then video hardware acceleration has to be worked out and that might require kernel patching . so looks grim for our 950/x3100 right now.... intel never made proper 64bit kexts, they just barely met the requirements for aero when windows 7 was released. now... nvidia d630/d830 might make the cut..... but of course we don't have one of those..... lol so if any developers that might have one want to chime in here, please feel free .. PS.... 10.7.4 is also breaking our balls installs in case you get that itch to test it.... it won't be a pretty thing unless you have a backup of 10.7.3
  18. have you tried npci=0x2000 or 0x3000 at startup? and checking is sata is set to ahci in bios if it has that option.
  19. read our wiki the link is above....
  20. try in a virtual environment....
  21. could be... repair your permissions with disk utility... apple updates make a mess of em.
  22. Bronxteck

    E6520

sounds like your graphics are not loading
  23. i think it was removed during an update... disregard it if not there and move to step 2...
  24. did you check in bios if trackpad has been turned off for some reason?
  25. try repairing permissions with disk utility. if that dosent work then rebuild edp for your model again.
