  1. try removing the hardware id injection from the boot.plist use graphics enabler=yes and vbios also i think nvidia needs pciroot=1 use chameleon wizard and save. also update to newest chameleon 1791 or above
  2. chame is a boot loader.... do you mean chameleon wizard? if it is then you need to update it, it has a bug.... to update kill internet, select choose chameleon from hdd turn on internet go to its menu bar and select update chameleon wizard
  3. no easy way without being able to boot into osx. unless you know abd understand terminal commands... or connect the harddrive to another mac and delete it.
  4. try the boot pack from wiki... or try booting with npci=0x2000
  5. was the extra file for your model? try booting -x -v. and shut off the ethernet from bios during install... also intel wireless gives issues installing osx so if you have one remove it or disable it also in bios as it will not work in osx. if it's broadcom then you might be ok depending on which one it is.
  6. it's a possability... i remember some one having the same issues with d630 awhile back... might have been Andy. not sure. but normaly edp should not dump kexts straight into s/l/e like that. only 0EDP.kext will go into s/l/e but that's in 2.2 for lion.
  7. the contents of extra belong in the extra folder... not the root of the drive. Extra should be in root /Extra
  8. remove fakesmc from s/l/e.... why it's there i don't know....
  9. well we have never tried edp with lion... so no clue 4 gigs really helps but if the processor works good in windows then in theory it should still work in osx just as well..
  10. glad it worked out for you... cheers!
  11. what version of edp did you use.... 2.2 is lion only. 1.9.2 is snow
  12. PCIRootUID=1 is normal for nvidia d630. -x kills certain drivers and caches, double check your machine to confirm video card in bios and build EDP for that type video. also look at your resolution while there you might have to set it in org.chameleon.Boot.plist now if your issue is during a snow leo install you might have issues detecting networks just tell it this computer does not connect to the internet. once it finishes then just run edp and build for your machine then reboot after edp finishes... if your card is compatible then it will ask to join networks on first boot.
  13. fixes &enhancements dell Inc. Copyright © 2011, All Rights reserved. www.dell.com BIOS Release Notes Systems: Dell Latitude D630 Series Version: A18 Build Date: 12/06/2011 Intel GM965 Graphics Video BIOS version 1588 NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M Video BIOS version 60.86.68.00.16 Fixes/Enhancements ------------------ 1. Add Digital Sign Feature, Signed Firmware update. 2. Update new password algorithm. 3. Enhance Computrace security. The BIOS release has been validated on the following operating systems: 1. Microsoft Windows Vista 2. Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 it's not clear if it's updating video card rom's, but the rest is just strengthening security... which might impede flashing custom firmware after but not sure...
  14. boot -v -x at chameleon prompt and it should give a bit more info...
  15. thanks scott we a appreciate that. especially with the amount of time that goes into keeping this all going.... not easy.
  16. works great now... i have been running it all day and no complaints yet. i have yet to test vga though.
  17. it kind of worked in snow leopard up until i think 10.6.7 and architecture was dropped from 10.6.8 and all lions.
  18. need bios password like wiki states.
  19. thats only there on machines with no dvd rom.... so you can network over to another machines dvd rom. for install purposes it's the macbook air smbios that activates the feature.
  20. it came to dawn on me... are you booting in 64bit by any chance.... you can use the one in edp or newer... 1791 seems to work well
