  1. just being cordial... i had another thing in mind... just kidding but seriously google is your friend when it comes to matters like this... ok here is a direct link and here is his guide it helped me get from pc to osx
  2. will do hmm forgot to ask where is it?... lol
  3. that windows part you mention was written by one of our forum members... when i originally got my d620 working with osx we had none of this... all we had was "leppys" boot disc and a retail cd... with that this entire forum started... so if you want a methode. use that one. its an iso you burn on windows to disk... boot from it eject it and put in your 10.6.0 retail install cd. it does not work with discs that come with macs. only retail. then you can install edp once you have a running os if you so choose sir.
  4. on d630 i think you shut off dynamic overclock in bios. or make sure smbios is not stating the wrong speed. if no speed mentioned in smbios then thats ok as the bootloader will inject it.
  5. if you select d630-intel it should x3100 is intel
  6. well edp can do it for you... under fix section select touch sle
  7. rebuild your catches.... they might still carry the corrupted fakesmc's info. also do a permissions repair with disk utility.
  8. ok i tried it on my d620 gma 1200x800, is this intended for a higher resolution panel? it booted fine then after a while graphics and text got choppy, after a reboot i got the stripes like when testing mirror mode only fix was to replace dsdt. this was on a fresh lion install. it's like it did not read the screens edid properly.
  9. yeah ethernet wake is an issue on that model.
  10. yeah then remove applehda from s/l/e. and rebuild your caches
  11. make sure to add the boot pack for your model from the wiki to thumb drive.

    Need Help

ok basically a boot loader just gives mac os what it needs to boot. so whatever you are going to boot from needs the boot loaders info so osx will be content that it's running from a "real mac" so you will need it for the installer and you will need it for the disk you chose to install osx to. if there's no boot loader then osx will just refuse to load and you will sit at a blank screen.
  13. well does the iFail boot loader see your thumb drive? if so then boot the thumb drive using iatko as the boot loader. then install chame once your up and running.

    Need Help

    yeah you need a bootloader
  17. well maybe you can use "leppys disc" as the boot loader or find a chameleon from cd... there where some iso's floating around the forum for some models a while ago
  18. no real perfect alps drivers really each one has it's benefits and drawbacks, i use 4 the Anv-Slice version and bring the scrolling speed all the way to 0 in the trackpad prefpane. seem just as bad in windows
  19. d410 is p4 cpu you probably need a kernel that supports p4 plus some gma kext or edits for gma915 graphics... edp works on machines that have similar hardware as a intel mac.
  20. hmm weird looks like it got stuck in the middle of loading fakesmc.... is this a clean install of edp? make sure you dont have fake smc any where other than in E/E and inside 0EDP.kext in s/l/e
  21. oh i dont think that chameleon has ppc support.... also Chameleon v2.0-RC5 r665.pkg is not compatible with 2.2 use a newer revision latest on chameleon wiz is 1768 as of this posting
  22. A: yes you should be able to flash back stock firmware. B: the same dsdt that is in extra after a build for d430 is injected in the bios, plus the latitude logo, and dell slic,
  23. the usb will only boot with chameleon installed to it maybe something like this would help you http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=170079
  24. try the lion dsdt.aml on snow leo it's in the Extra directory you can name it dsdt1.aml then boot snow with DSDT=dsdt1.aml boot flag to test if it works then just replace the dsdt.aml with dsdt1.aml by renaming dsdt.aml to dsdt.aml... lol hope it 's not confusing..
  25. check the wiki for instructions... also like laylay said lion only works on core 2 duo... check your bios to doublecheck graphics and resolution.
