  1. have you tried using the dp4 version of the kext in final?
  2. sounds like your missing a dsdt.aml file in extra. did you run edp1.9? and build for d630-nvidia?
  3. first flash with the highest dell bios on the site, if it works properly then you can flash custom bios if you wish... but it's not a necessity.
  4. have you tried setting bios to defaults?
  5. have you tried renaming applehda in s/l/e? or a newer voodoohda like 2.7.3?
  6. sorry misunderstood. i'm not sure how to resolve this.
  7. are you sure it's core 2 duo not core duo... big difference core duo is 32 bit

  9. nope... common error on dells.
  10. can you test this smbios file, it's keyed as a MacBookPro3,1 that was the closest i could find that matches your machine specs. 8oo mhz bus t7xxx cpu nvs135m/nvs140m = GeForce 8400m gs/8500m gt MacPro3,1 has 8600m gt "Santa Rosa" chipset. please let me know the results. cheers smbios.rar
  11. just install edp it creates an extra folder for your build.
  12. i definitely would not mind one of those... but mine was core 2 duo already so not much of an incentive to replace it... ps. make sure to use some good compound like arctic silver
  13. yeah it's fun... just allot of researching but that can be fun too..
  14. you could also just install the edp pkg to the installer usb stick and run your model build from there. after it installs lion install edp.pkg to the new hdd partion and build for your model. so you might want to put the edp.pkg somewhere on the usb stick to make things easier
  15. no clue... never tried the myhack method but that's why this is a community so we can all share and learn new things from each other.. so maybe some one that has tried this method can shed a little light here.
  16. d430 is one of the most compatible machines with edp and vanilla install.... leon makes sure of it as it's his model of choice lol...
  17. hmm it should work if your setup is using an extra folder. once edp 1.9 is installed you go to /Extra and run edptool.command that will open terminal window with options. audio and lan are added by default. but yes you are correct we do not have distro support; only "vanilla" support. the reason being is that those distros change a lot of key items which can cause problems with updates. and issues like the one your having.
  18. ok. have you tried repairing disk permissions with disk utility, or it could also be a corrupt sleep image.
  19. in terminal type pmset -a hibernatemode 3
  20. easy follow the same method but put your own extra folder in it or install edp1.9 to the usb media and run a build for your model without using a battery kext during build. that should get the install going. after install install edp.pkg to the new install and re run edp for your model.
