  1. d430 is one of the most compatible machines with edp and vanilla install.... leon makes sure of it as it's his model of choice lol...
  2. hmm it should work if your setup is using an extra folder. once edp 1.9 is installed you go to /Extra and run edptool.command that will open terminal window with options. audio and lan are added by default. but yes you are correct we do not have distro support; only "vanilla" support. the reason being is that those distros change a lot of key items which can cause problems with updates. and issues like the one your having.
  3. ok. have you tried repairing disk permissions with disk utility, or it could also be a corrupt sleep image.
  4. in terminal type pmset -a hibernatemode 3
  5. easy follow the same method but put your own extra folder in it or install edp1.9 to the usb media and run a build for your model without using a battery kext during build. that should get the install going. after install install edp.pkg to the new install and re run edp for your model.
  6. npci=0x02000 can be used alone it's suppose to help in 10.6.8/lion with pci bus. you can try it to see if it helps with nvidia models
  7. a good place to start is to read through our wiki... should answer alot of questions you might have or come across...
  8. try npci=0x02000 at the chameleon prompt also are you using powerpack? if you are then you need to use edp 1.9 on 10.6.8
  9. weird that EDP does not work for you simba as your package is based off of EDP. have you tried a newer chameleon rev? they have built graphics detection into it. latest as of writing this is 1447. this shows in my bdmesg Intel Mobile GMA950 [8086:27a2] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)
  10. ok what version of osx are you loading... EDP is intended for 10.6 and up... not 10.4 or 10.5.. EDP has no yellow kexts must be the version of os your using thats conflicting. you should be able to install 10.6 and edp with no issues
  11. if my memory serves me correct... i don't think EDP uses nvenabler.
  12. first confirm the model and type, d630 with 950 video does not sound right. check in your bios info. then choose the version for your graphics type. or your mobo was replaced with another model.... maybe a d620? no clue.
  13. what resolution does the laptop support? check in bios. then search the forum there are dsdts made for higher res d630's
  14. are you sure it installed to system/library/extensions? could be a cache problem... rebuild permissions.
  15. why would they put a whole section into the bios for the dock options if it did not affect the dock? food for thought. what's the worst that can happen really. it will either help you or it will not.
  16. which version on chameleon are you guys using?
  17. nope you are correct. will not notice it on a screen shot... must be an external pic of the problem
  18. good place to start for info is our wiki then...
  19. cant hurt to post a screen shot
  20. sleep enabler is kernel dependent and they upgraded the kernel with this update...
  21. use kext wizard to put your backed up kexts to s/l/e
